Caves of Drach and East Area

A visit to Majorca would not be complete without a trip to the Caves of Drach. The Caves Drach were discovered in 1896 by Eduard Martel, and host the largest underground lake in Europe, which bears his name.

Eduard Martel and his assistants came to Majorca, and first crossed the lake on 10th September 1896 with two little canoes made of cloth. Over 1200 metres of cavities became known and Martel’s name was united forever to the Drach Caves, one of the most beautiful caves in the world. You too can recreate this journey and experience the masterpiece of magical light and musical harmony in the form of a classical orchestra, known as “Dawn Over the Lake”.

During our sightseeing panoramic tour you will have the opportunity to visit the lovely & quaint village of Porto Cristo, a watchtower from the 15th century and Cala Mandia, one of the most beautiful coves of the Majorca East area. Also we will stop in Manacor, famous for its industry of manufacturing pearls, which you can see for yourself at the world renowned Majorica, a factory-price outlet, where we will stop briefly. We will also take you for a free liquor tasting.
