Christmas, instagram and Palma! What a great combination! We\u2019ve strolled around Palma during the Christmas lights period to find some of the best places for a instagram tour, so you can grab that iconic pictures to post in your instagram account while you enjoy a tour around Palma.<\/p>\n\n

If you love to travel and take Instagram-worthy pictures in amazing locations, then you will enjoy this walk! On this tour you will be seeing some of the best spots in the city centre, including the Borne, the Ramblas, the Plaza Mayor or the iconic town hall which is one of the most instagrammed locations in Palma for Christmas!<\/p>\n\n

Es Borne:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

One of the most elegant avenues in Palma, with luxury shops, Boutique hotels and nice cafes. Along its avenue, from Plaza de la Reina to Plaza Joan Carles I, an evening\u00a0stroll is quite spectacular under the white glittering lights. This is probably why it is one of the most common photos of the Christmas lights that you will find on instagram.<\/p>\n\n

Las Ramblas<\/h3>\n\n

A walk in the Ramblas is a very typical stroll during the Christmas period. Along this boulevard we find a craft market with local artisans, which can be a perfect opportunity to find some presents for this Christmas. There is a very lively and unique atmosphere, with the combination of the high trees, the stalls and the lights. It is the perfect place where to stop to find the best spot for an Instagram Photo involving light, people walking around and the shade of the trees.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Carrer de Oms:<\/h3>\n\n

It is always nice to stroll on Carrer Oms as there is a nice atmosphere and plenty of people around. It connects the Ramblas and the Plaza de Espa\u00f1a, and being a large wide street allows to see well the Christmas lights.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Plaza de Espa\u00f1a:<\/h3>\n\n

Due to its proximity to the train and bus station, this is a very busy place on this period, and there is a lovely atmosphere with a Christmas market and an ice skating arena in the Parc de ses Estacions (just north of Pla\u00e7a Espa\u00f1a), that it’s open daily and into the evening. We agree that the other places we mentioned are better to see the Christmas lights, but still worth it to pass this square.<\/p>\n\n

Plaza Mayor<\/h3>\n\n

In Palma you will find different areas with Christmas stalls, some of them are found around Pla\u00e7a Major , and they open daily from 10:00 until 21:00.<\/p>\n\n

In Mallorca there is a tradition forthe ‘Betlems’ (Nativity scenes) all around the town centre and in many house, the main one located in front of Palma’s town hall at Pla\u00e7a Cort. If you need to buy figures for your Betlem, at the Pla\u00e7a Mayor you will find everything you need.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Plaza Cort:<\/h3>\n\n

The town hall square looks fantastic for Christmas, and it is one of our favourite places. Make sure you dont miss to visit the Christmas Nativity inside the town hall. It is open every day from 10:00-20:00. You can check on this link <\/a> for more Christmas Nativities in Palma and in Mallorca. Try to stand by the olive tree or in one of the corners for the best instagram photo with the lights and the town Hall building.<\/p>\n\n
