Please bear in mind that there are two different itineraries depending on the day you choose to visit the Caves of Drach. Independently of the day you decide to take the trip the tour around the Caves of Drach themselves is always the same:
The visit has a duration of approximately 80 minutes. You will follow the route through the caves, marvelling as each cavern gets bigger and more impressive as you progress. The highlight of your visit will be enjoying the classical music concert inside the Caves of Drach and crossing Lake Martel's spectacular waters in a small wooden boat. This boat ride is a unique experience in the world and is included in the price. Lake Martel is one of the largest subterranean lakes that exist. During the visit you will also witness a magical light show that recreates the sunrise.
If you opt on taking part on a Monday you will visit the Caves of Drach and Porto Cristo:
Once everybody is on board our coach we proceed inland towards the town of Manacor, the second largest town in Mallorca. On our way we will be passing small traditional villages, which are very different to the tourist resort, such as Santa Margalida. Throughout the journey our guide will share useful and interesting information about the tour's itinerary as well as giving you an insight into the local culture .
On arrival in Manacor there will be a 40 minutes visit to the Majorica pearl factory. There you will have the opportunity to see the rigourous pearl manufacturing process and learn about the history of one of Majorca's most emblematic companies. While there you will also be able to purchase goods at outlet prices. The perfect remembrance for you or your dearest ones from your holiday in Mallorca.
The visit to the Caves of Drach will then take place as stated above.
On the East Coast area of Mallorca we will make a short photo stop at a defensive watchtower from the 16th century where you can take memorable photos and have fun learning about the pirates of Mallorca.
You will have time for lunch when we stop at the seaside fishing town of Porto Cristo (90 minutes). Here you have free time to explore, relax, eat and enjoy its beach. Lunch is not included but the guide will recommend nice places to eat and local points of interest. Also, if you wish to you can go for a refreshing swim in Porto Cristo's stunning turquoise waters or simply sunbathe on the beautiful sandy beach.
To round off such a great day, the final part of the tour includes a stop at a local liqueur establishment (30 minutes). There, free of charge, you will be treated to taste as many local liqueurs, with flavours that go from herbal to berries, as you wish. These include the popular local specialities of Hierbas and Palo which are a must when trying the liqueurs.
If you opt on taking part on a Wednesday you will visit the Caves of Drach and Sineu Market:
Once everybody is onboard we will make our way through the island's inland towards the picturesque village of Sineu. There we will be stopping for about 1 hour so that you can stroll around what is Mallorca's oldest market. There you will be able to see everything you can imagine being sold, from fruit and vegetables to live animals!
Then it will be time to head, again through inland roads to Manacor.
While we are on the East Coast area of Mallorca we will make a short photo stop at a defensive watchtower from the 16th century where you can take memorable photos and have fun learning about the pirates of Mallorca.

We used no frills to visit to the Caves of Drach on Monday 21st September. the whole trip lasted all day as we did other activities including the peal factory, sight seeing, CAVES OF DRACH, visited Porto Cristo for a couple of hours and did liquors testing. We had a comfy double decker coach with air con, that arrived on time at the pick up point, and also had a good tour guide who kept us all informed all the time and had lots of stories about Majorca. I couldn't remember the ladies name but we were Coach 155. I would recommend this trip if you want to visit the Cave of Drach or want to Explore the East side of the Island as it is beautiful. We booked an excursion to the caves of Drach and No Frills gave us a full day out. We went to the pearl factory, the bell tower, 2 towns, the caves and also to a FREE liquor tasting. Catty was friendly and very knowledgeable. It was a pleasure listening to her. Thank you so much for such a great day out xx Visited October 2015
Booked a trip to the Caves Of Drach on Monday, it was a brilliant day out. The most memorable thing of the day was our tour guide Catarina (Cati) she was by far the funnest most friendly guide I have ever met. She had everyone on the coach laughing all day even when there were "late comers". I still giggle now just thinking about that day/her. Wish there were more guide like her. The trip was so brilliant, but spent to much money at the pearl shop. Porta Cristo was beautiful and the licor tasting......well what can I say apart from Yum Yum Will definitely recommend No Frills to friends and family who are traveling to Majorca. Also, Cathy who actually booked our trip was so friendly and helpful when we were looking into the trip. 10/10 Visited October 2015
Our tour guide was Jaun and driver was Pedro. Absolutely fantastic, enthusiastic and friendly, they provided in depth local knowledge throughout the tour. We went to a pearl factory, caves of Drach which was amazing and then a liqueur tasting visit, all for a very reasonable €40. I would thoroughly recommend this tour company!! Visited October 2015
I went on the Caves of Drach tour with No Frills Excursions with my husband and our 8 month old baby. We got so much more than we had bargained for! The day was jam packed full of things to do yet didn't feel rushed. I was quite apprehensive about going on a coach trip with a baby but our tour guide Cati couldn't have been more lovely and we were made to feel extremely welcome! I would highly recommend No Frills Excursions. Visited September 2015
We looked at the No Frills website in advance so we knew which trips we wanted to go on - The round the island and Caves of Drach. I thought we would need to walk to the port to book but there were at least two places nearby - a small booth on the main strip and a shop near the bus stop. The coach for the Caves of Drach arrived a little early but luckily we were ready. Pickup was just outside our hotel - Siesta apartments. The trip included a visit to the Pearl Showroom at Manacor which was interesting. The pearls look good quality and presumably are a fraction of the price of `real' pearls although still a considered purchase. We arrived at the caves just as they were opening so it was very crowded to begin with although it improved deeper in the caves. A lovely and atmospheric concert completed the toour. There is a chance to have a very short boat ride but we didn't bother although we were reassured the coach would wait for us if we wished to do this. Then on to Porto Christo with a couple of stops for photos of the stunning coast. There is a break for lunch, we went to the Burger King as we thought it would be quick - no such luck. Off to a ceramics showroom with some liquer tasting then back home. A very full day, we were exhausted but happy.
We book to go and see the caves of drach. We did this through this company because it was so much cheaper than Thomas Cook. Our tour guide Dori was fantastic. She spoke very good English and we could understand everything she said. Unfortunately it was raining on the day of our trip but that didn't stop us having fun. We thought we were just going to the caves but how wrong were we. We visited the pearl factory and a ceramic factory. We did some site seeing and had some stops to take some pictures of the landscape. When we return next year we will most certainly book another trip with them.
We used the no frills office near Alcudia beach to book the caves of Drach excursion. From first impressions in the office we were happy. Duncan was really helpful & friendly, going far out of his way to mark out useful places on the map (we had just arrived & hadn't a clue where we were!). We were picked up on time & Francisco the driver kept us safe through some hairy coast roads throughout the day. The guide Juan was informative & cheerful, slipping easily between languages. We particularly appreciated the interesting stories about the little villages that we passed through. As the last trip of the year we had a slightly different itinerary than the one advertised but we enjoyed everything except for the pearl factory. We'd have much preferred some more time in Porto Cristo. The caves themselves are fantastic, I'm so glad we got to see them & the mini classical concert on boats was very atmospheric.
We booked on 3 trips while staying in Alcudia. We did the Soller and Valdermossa trip, Caves of Drach and The Pirates Experience. All three were excellent!! We booked the trips with Kathy who explained everything and helped us chose the trips we wanted. She was really helpful and made the whole thing easy for us. The trips themselves were reasonably priced, well organised, with coaches on time, excellent tour guides who knew the areas and plenty of stop offs and free time. In particular, the caves of drach was brilliant and the fun and enthusiastic personality of Juan our tour guide and Raffy our driver made it even better. I would highly recommend them and seeing some beautiful sights on the island.
