Please bear in mind that there are two different itineraries depending on the day you choose to visit the Caves of Drach. Independently of the day you decide to take the trip the tour around the Caves of Drach themselves is always the same:
The visit has a duration of approximately 80 minutes. You will follow the route through the caves, marvelling as each cavern gets bigger and more impressive as you progress. The highlight of your visit will be enjoying the classical music concert inside the Caves of Drach and crossing Lake Martel's spectacular waters in a small wooden boat. This boat ride is a unique experience in the world and is included in the price. Lake Martel is one of the largest subterranean lakes that exist. During the visit you will also witness a magical light show that recreates the sunrise.
If you opt on taking part on a Monday you will visit the Caves of Drach and Porto Cristo:
Once everybody is on board our coach we proceed inland towards the town of Manacor, the second largest town in Mallorca. On our way we will be passing small traditional villages, which are very different to the tourist resort, such as Santa Margalida. Throughout the journey our guide will share useful and interesting information about the tour's itinerary as well as giving you an insight into the local culture .
On arrival in Manacor there will be a 40 minutes visit to the Majorica pearl factory. There you will have the opportunity to see the rigourous pearl manufacturing process and learn about the history of one of Majorca's most emblematic companies. While there you will also be able to purchase goods at outlet prices. The perfect remembrance for you or your dearest ones from your holiday in Mallorca.
The visit to the Caves of Drach will then take place as stated above.
On the East Coast area of Mallorca we will make a short photo stop at a defensive watchtower from the 16th century where you can take memorable photos and have fun learning about the pirates of Mallorca.
You will have time for lunch when we stop at the seaside fishing town of Porto Cristo (90 minutes). Here you have free time to explore, relax, eat and enjoy its beach. Lunch is not included but the guide will recommend nice places to eat and local points of interest. Also, if you wish to you can go for a refreshing swim in Porto Cristo's stunning turquoise waters or simply sunbathe on the beautiful sandy beach.
To round off such a great day, the final part of the tour includes a stop at a local liqueur establishment (30 minutes). There, free of charge, you will be treated to taste as many local liqueurs, with flavours that go from herbal to berries, as you wish. These include the popular local specialities of Hierbas and Palo which are a must when trying the liqueurs.
If you opt on taking part on a Wednesday you will visit the Caves of Drach and Sineu Market:
Once everybody is onboard we will make our way through the island's inland towards the picturesque village of Sineu. There we will be stopping for about 1 hour so that you can stroll around what is Mallorca's oldest market. There you will be able to see everything you can imagine being sold, from fruit and vegetables to live animals!
Then it will be time to head, again through inland roads to Manacor.
While we are on the East Coast area of Mallorca we will make a short photo stop at a defensive watchtower from the 16th century where you can take memorable photos and have fun learning about the pirates of Mallorca.

An outstanding tour.....beautiful!!! My children aged from 4-10 were totally captivated as was I!! Out tour guide Juan made the day really special, and looked after us all amazingly well so I felt really safe traveling alone with 3 kids. Our driver Rafa was also superb. This tour company if the best I have experienced......cannot recommend them enough. If you want a memorable days where your tour guides work amazing hard to look after you for a very reasonable price.....book now!!!
Our tour guide Juan and driver Rafa really looked after us from the moment we were picked up to the moment we were dropped off. We were in safe hands throughout the trip to the Caves of Drach. This was an all-day excursion and we had several stop offs to different places for photos, to the pearl factory outlet and liquor tasting. The coach was air-conditioned and offered a good view all-round of the surrounding areas. The Caves themselves were incredible. Like an alien world. I would thoroughly recommend this tour which is suitable for individuals of all ages, couples and families alike. (Juan is great with the little ones!) Many thanks to Juan and No frills for making our holiday amazing!! :)
Just returned from a week in Puerto Pollensa Majorca and decided to visit the Caves of Drach, what a great day out. Juan the tour guide was brilliant and funny he recommended where to go for lunch and it was well worth the money. We also visited where they make the Pearls and had a Liquor tasting as well. I would definitely recommend No Frills Excursions the trip cost 40 euros and that included the cost of going into the Caves so good value for money I would say.
We had an amazing day with No Frills. The trip started with a tour of a Pearl factory, which was OK, but only there for 45 minutes. Very overpriced for alcohol souvenirs. There was a small park next door with dinosaurs in garden so we went and had a look at that instead. Caves of Drach was amazing, could have done with another 30 minutes or so, didn't miss anything, just didn't get time for the Gift Shop. Went to Porto Cristo for lunch, lovely seaside town with harbour. Food and drink quite pricey compared to Alcudia, but well worth it. Last stop at Ceramic and alcohol tasting shop. A good excuse for a few shots if you're that way inclined. Alcohol overpriced, some double to what was being charged in shops in Alcudia, so shop around! Back to strip by 5ish. Great day, well worth it!!
We did the Island Tour and Caves of Drach tour with No Frills. Our guide was Juan and he was fabulous. He was always full of enthusiasm and explained everything so well. We were well entertained with his anecdotes and his jokes! His daughter Aine came to help out on the Island Tour and she was equally helpful. We had a great driver with Xisco taking us safely through the winding mountain roads. We spent a great couple of days exploring the island and really enjoyed it.
We had 2 trips one of the island tour the other the caves of drach. Our tour guide for both was Juan. What a lovely guide, he treated us (the Bramhall family) as royalty. The tours where fantastic, thanks Juan for the special treatment we had on the train journey through the mountains. The bus drivers were excellant and we felt very safe with those very winding mountain roads. I hope Chisco(sorry for the spelling) you get another chance to visit Cardiff. Excellant tours on both days, never felt rushed. Would recommend tours to all.
We went to the Caves of Drach via the Pearl Factory and several scenic view stops. We then stopped in Porto Cristo and returned via a liqueur tasting. The whole trip was well organised and we were given lots of interesting information during the journey, which we would not have found out if we had driven ourselves. I last visited the caves in 1971 and the experience has changed since then, and has been spoilt by the significant number of visitors constantly taking photos on their mobiles, instead of actually enjoying the wonder of the caves! The coach tour experience was enjoyable and I would recommend.
An incredible holiday with 3 superb and fantastically organised trips with no frills. Juan was amazing. So knowledgeable and funny at the same time. Jeannie and Pete were also fantastic. Juan, Henry, Aina & Xisco make an awesome team!
I recently went to Majorca with a major UK tour company and decided to risk giving no frills a try for their excursions as they were a lot cheaper than the ones offered by the tour rep, and boy was I glad I did! We went on the caves of drac from no frills and it was excellent with air conditioned coaches and with the extremely helpful and funny Juan (who made the day) we also went on the island experience with Catarina with different types of transport it was an experience I'm glad we didn't miss. They don't try to push overpriced lunches or stops on you and go the extra mile to make the experience enjoyable.
We booked the Island Tour and Caves of Drach Tour, plus Aqualand. The Island tour is a great day out with plenty of photo opportunities. The guide was very knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. The trip started by coach and we were driven through the mountains, before taking a 45 minute boat trip. This was followed by a tram ride, before boarding an old train to join the coach for the return trip. There were plenty of stops along the way and the guide provided lots of information. The Caves of Drach trip began with a trip to the pearl factory before heading to the caves. The caves were absolutely packed, especially near the entrance, with everyone taking photos (flash is not allowed, and there are plenty of officials stopping people who ignored the warnings), but the crowds thinned before you entered the seated area to listen to the concert. At the end of the concert there is a chance to have a very short boat trip, but the queues are massive. We realised that if we queued for the boat we would not be back at the coach in time so decided not to bother. When we told the guide she said that it wouldn't have been a problem, they would have waited for us.Next we visited Puerto Pollensa, and had quite a bit of free time there, before making the return trip via a shop where you have the chance to sample around 20 liquors. All in all another great day, and we would definitely recommend No Frills.
