Join us at Nofrills Excursions on our unique full day trip to the valley of Soller and Valldemossa. This trip will take us first to the spectacular Valley of Soller famous for its splendid orange and lemon groves as well as its quaint original tram ride which is included in the price. Visiting these areas will allow you to discover the island's most natural beauty, making you fall in love with the precious landscapes you will be witnessing through out the day.
We will arrive in Soller Valley at around 10:30. First we will visit the Port of Soller where you will have about one hour free time so that you can stroll around and explore this charming natural port.
At around 11:30 we will take the tram to go to the old village of Soller where you can take a pleasant walk to see the most important landmarks of the village such as the main square, Can Prunera Museum, Soller's modernist-style bank, the church of Soller and many more interesting places.
You will also have time to relax in Soller as you enjoy an orange juice or an orange ice cream both a must in this valley famous for its delicious oranges.
If you like art, you can also have a look at the Picasso Ceramic Museum. We will be staying in Soller for about 90 minutes and there will be enough time for lunch (not included). In the town of Soller you will find a wide range of cafes and restaurants where you can eat anything from typical Mallorcan dishes, a menu of the day or just a quick bite.
After Soller, we board the coach for a delightful sightseeing ride through the Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range which has been named world heritage site and is protected by UNESCO. We will pass the picturesque towns of Llucalcari and Deia. Have your camera ready because the day is not over yet, as our final stop is the pretty town of Valldemossa.
In Valldemossa you can stroll through the peaceful cobbled streets or relax and enjoy a coffee while you devour one of the local delicacies such as the 'coca de patatas' (small potato-based sponge cake) as at this time of the day we usually have the charming town to ourselves. You can join our guide for a relaxed walk around the streets or visit at your own pace the Carthusian Monastery and the famous composer Chopin's House (entrances are not included in the price).
We will be in Valldemossa for about an hour and half, and then our coach will take us back to resort.
We have created a thoughtful itinerary for you to make sure that you have the opportunity to visit these 3 stunning places in a day, combining tram and bus.
The excursion starts at 09:00 and ends at around 17:45.
The pick-up point and time are confirmed to you after you have made your booking. You will be picked up at your hotel or a nearby meeting point. Once you make the reservation you will receive two emails:
we decided to take an excursion while on holiday in Majorca and chose No Frills by a leaflet in the hotel lobby. We don,t usually go for organised trips as we prefer to find our way independantly.however we were feeling lazy and booked a trip to Soller .I have to say we were totally impressed!! we had a wonderful day and are still talking about it.Juan was out guide and Alfonso was our driver,I felt that they gave exellent service.going out of their way to give photo stops and pointing out areas of interest.Juan gave a brilliant commentary and did not ramble on like some guides we have experienced. He also gave us a great insight into the true Majorca and country way of life.we paid thirty euros each and it was the best value for money trip I have ever been on! we saw several areas of interest, rode a tram and had plenty of free time also in each stop.we even got a discount at a local cafe because we were part of the group. If you only take one excursion on your holiday, take it with No Frills,Fantastic!
Went to Port Soller & Valddemosa with Nofrills, must say this was one of the best trips we have been on, could not fault Nofrills bus was comfortable and clean, guide juan was very good, you got a laugh with him very friendly . The bus driver was good on the high bends which could be scary , for €30 it was very good value for money, we will definitely use them again.
Whilst on holiday in Puerto Pollensa,, we booked a trip to Soller and Valdemosa on the 23rd September.. The price for this was 30 Euros per person and was a full day trip. The coach was extremely comfortable with a very good driver, called Toni, and an excellent, and very knowledgeable, guide (unfortunately I cannot remember her name, which is a pity). On the coach, she handed out maps of Mallorca and our tram passes. En route to Soller, our guide pointed out the lush orchards of orange and lemon trees and told us about the various olives produced in Mallorca. She also gave us details as to the population of the island and the significant increase in the number of tourists, compared with the 1960s to the present day, arriving at Palma Airport. On arrival at the port of Soller, we had time for coffee and a look round before embarking on the wooden tram at midday for our journey to the town of Soller. This was so interesting as we passed beautiful back gardens full of flowers. The town of Soller is lovely with a beautiful Church and plenty of very nice restaurants for lunch. At 2 p.m., we reassembled for our journey to Valdemosa. For the nervous traveller, this is a heart stopping trip through the mountains but, with the expert driving of Tony, we felt we were in good hands! We went through Deia which is very beautiful and, we were told, is a world heritage site. Our guide pointed out the world famous Hotel Residencia which is where several very famous people stay, including, in the past, Princess Diana. On arrival in Valdemosa, which is where Chopin lived with George Sands, we were advised to try the almond milk and almond cake which is renowned in this area. We tried both - the almond cake was delicious but the milk was rather too sweet for my taste. Chopin's statue stands in the square but his nose has been rubbed for luck by so many people, over the years, that he looks as if he has a drinker's nose. Do try any of the excursions organised by No-Frills as this one was excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to book any of their trips on our next visit to Mallorca.
Went on a trip to Veldamossa calling at port soller. Lovely courier who explained all about Majorca with a very witty tone. Picked up at the hotel and dropped off. Plenty of breaks. This is the second time we have used this company and were not let down.
had a great day out visiting the above...ester..our guide..was ace..friendly //informative..helpful..AND it was CHEAPER than OTHERS...:) THANKS.......
Picked up right outside hotel and taken to the coach at Port D'Alcudia .....Kati was our guide and what a fantastic day we had with her ....she explains all about the places we see and adds her own bit of humour. Her recommendations of where to visit and where to eat or drink are explained with no pressure. The tram ride was something else....travelling through the middle of the town on market day was an experience not to be missed!!! There were bands playing on a huge stage entertaining us ....such a wonderful atmosphere. And the patisserie well the cakes are to die for. At the end of the day we were dropped off at the No Frills office and taken to our hotel by Seamus with whom we had a good chat about No Frills trips and how much we had saved. Thankyou for the memories.
One of the better Nofrills trips we went on. Beautiful scenery, informative guide. Kids need to be amused however as there is nothing to interest them. Tram into Soller is lovely, Saturday was market day ( drums were loud and it was busy ), the drive up to Vallentia was great and it is a lovely place to visit - for longer ideally. There is a small shop, local artist, close to where the guide takes you for the panaramic view, worth a look. We purchased a few paintings from there at reasonable price.
My partner and I had a wonderful holiday in Majorca June/July 2014. We booked 8 excursions 7 of which were with "No Frills Excursions" Valldemossa and Soller with Cati and Pedro was a fantastic day out, The Caves of Drach and Porto Cristo was also fantastic and Juan and Xisco looked after us very well, with some great photos taken by Juan. Son A Mar was a must do for our holiday and it was a memorable evening. Would certainly recommend booking with No Frills.
Booked the above trip for Saturday 12 July 2014. I was a little dubious about doing this (or any bus trip for that matter) as I have a tendency to travel sickness on bendy roads, but I so much wanted to see Puerto de Soller and ride on the tram. I mentioned my dilemma on booking and asked if I could possibly sit near the front of the coach. The tour guide (Magdalene I think was her name) was kindness itself and on the day was able to save me the seat behind the driver as there were no disabled passengers that day. The whole day was wonderful and totally exceeded my expectations. Felt very safe on the hairpin bends with Francisco driving and learned a lot of interesting facts about the Island. The places we visited (above) were fabulous and well worth seeing, especially as the weather was superb. I have uploaded a video of the day on You tube....just type in my name (or follow the umbrella!! :) Many thanks - will be booking again!
Fantastic day out for 30 euros each. Very good guide in Caterina (hope I spelt your name right) who is very knowledgeable on the islands history. Plenty of time to see Port de Soller, a trip on the tram to Soller. Lunch time in Soller followed by trip via Deia and bendy bendy to Valldemossa. Back to the fotel in time for tea. Will go with No Frills agin as long as they pick up at the Molins in Cala San vicente.
