Discover Mallorca by coach, boat, train and tram on the Island Tour. This trip has it all: Beautiful mountain and coastal scenery, a ride on a vintage train, orange and lemon groves…

Island Tour overview:

What to expect on this trip:

The Island Tour excursion will keep you charmed all day thanks to its different parts: road, sea and rails, with plenty of free time in between. You will be taken down the spectacular west coast of Mallorca where you will see some of the most breathtaking views in the Mediterranean. There you will discover the UNESCO protected Serra de Tramuntana mountain range with our knowledgeable guide who will be giving you interesting information on the towns and sights we come across during the day.

Once everybody has been picked up by coach the tour proceeds to the stunning Tramuntana Mountain Range where we can enjoy the views that this area offers as we drive along the breathtaking and much photographed mountain road to Sa Calobra where you will be able to take some great photographs.

Then we will arrive at Sa Calobra where you will have free time to relax and enjoy the dreamy landscape. We always make sure we arrive early so we can see Sa Calobra at its best, when it's quiet and peaceful before other tour groups get there. This means that our clients can discover the Torrent de Paréis gorge at their leisure before the bustle begins.

After the visit to Sa Calobra we will board a modern boat that will take us to Puerto Soller. The journey by boat has a duration of approximately 40 minutes and along the way you will see spectacular views of this dramatic coastline that cannot be seen from the land.

On arrival in Puerto de Soller you will have have free time to explore, relax and have some lunch. Our guide can recommend a nice place for you to have lunch or you can stroll around looking for a place of your liking.

Once everybody has unwound and has had something to eat in Puerto Soller we will take the tram along the sea front and up through the orange and lemon orchards to the town of Soller where we will have time for a short visit around its charming historical centre before we board the famous Soller wooden train. We will follow the original journey which has barely changed in its 100 years of operation.

The train ride will take us across the impressive valley of Soller as we go through the tunnels in the mountains and the countryside until we reach the outskirts of Palma. There our coach will be awaiting us to head back to resort.

Reasons why you should book online:

  • Much cheaper prices compared to tour operators.
  • It is a hassle free way to ensure you make the most of your day. We have the day planned to the finest detail so that all that is left for you to do is enjoy the excursion.
  • Your places will be guaranteed on all the modes of transports included in the excursion: bus, boat, tram and train so you will avoid nasty surpirses like arriving and not being able to board, which would not be a pleasant experience.
  • Easy to book: confirm your details, secure online payment, receive your e-voucher and then we confirm your pick up details by e-mail.
  • Peace of mind: have your places guaranteed before you arrive in resort. You can either print the voucher or just show it on your smartphone, tablet or device.

Additional information about the Island Tour:

What is included in the price?

  • Return transport on an air conditioned coach (which will be the same coach all day meaning you can leave things onboard if you need to).
  • English speaking guide who will escort you throughout the day giving you a full commentary of the areas you visit.
  • Soller train journey (50 minutes).
  • Soller Tram Journey (25 minutes).
  • Boat trip from Sa Calobra to Puerto Soller (45 minutes).
  • Travel insurance

Lunch is not included, but we stop at Puerto Soller where there is time for lunch and a wide selection of cafes and restaurants.

Approximate timetable of the trip:

The excursion starts between 08:30-09:00 and it comes to an end at about  17:30-18:00.

Pick up point:

The pick-up point and time are confirmed to you after you have made your booking. You will be picked up at your hotel or a nearby meeting point. Once you make the reservation you will receive two emails:

  • A first one with all the details related to the booking which you can either print or show on the day of the excursion on your mobile phone or tablet.
  • A second email indicating the exact pick up point and the time you must be there.

Some practical information for the day of the excursion:

  • Don’t forget your photo camera, you will most definitely need it!
  • There will be time for lunch in Puerto Soller.
  • The boat trip is subject to weather and sea conditions. In the unlikely event that the boat trip is cancelled due to bad weather an alternative route will be taken by coach, missing out Sa Calobra and (when possible) taking a shorter boat trip in the bay of Puerto Soller. This is beyond our control and no refunds or partial refunds will be given if this occurs.

Again what a lovely tour of a beautiful island, made all the better by juan & Xisco picked us up bang on time from pick up point took us up the beautiful mountain road (some points I had to keep eyes closed 😊) back down& met our boat, the boat trip was great & very refreshing then onto our tram trip which was good quite overcrowded at points but still enjoyable lovely scenery then we had a quick stop until we met our old train which was great up through the mountains & through the tunnels. Really good day I have used no frills many times over the years in Tenerife & Majorca & feel u get best value for money with them. Was lovely to see Juan again he is such a lovely happy friendly guy..... He deserves a medal 😊

We have just returned from Majorca where we took two of your tours. We were staying at the Uyal Hotel. I just wanted to let you know how marvellous your trips were. The first tour was to Stoller, etc. with the tour guide whose name is Katalina - she is marvellous, so informative about everything and what a wonderful character she is! She made the day very special for us. Lovely lady. Anyway thanks for your splendid tours and if we do go to Porto Polensa again, we will be in touch. Yours, Sandra Foster

We were on the island trip on Sun 17th May... What a great experience, the trip from start to finish was amazIng.. Our coach was Juan who was absolutely fantastic. He looked after U.S. All and even treated us to VIP treatment on the train 1st class carriage... Great day from start to finish

This was the first time we went on a No Frills and will definitely use them again. We went on the Island Tour and it was fantastic! Everything was so well organised and just went smoothly. Our tour guide Juan was excellent keeping us entertained with his knowledge, stories and jokes. I also want to thank our driver James for getting us down those mountain roads. Thank you Juan and James for a lovely day out.

We were collected close to our apartment by a lovely lady Catalina & our driver Pedro & started our adventure. The drive through the mountains was lovely, very scenic & a bit hairy when we came across a big dump truck & digger taking up half the road. With some skilful manoeuvres by Pedro & much shaking of the digger driver's head we squeezed by with millimetres to spare. The views were amazing & Catalina's knowledge made the drive very interesting. On arrival at Sa Calobra we had a bit of time for a drink & toilet break, then onto the boat for a windy trip to Puerto Soller. Very spectacular views. The boat arrived in the pretty port in time for lunch at the Mar y Sol restaurant which was nice, then some time for souvenir hunting & naranja ice cream before the tram ride to Soller. Through lemon & orange groves & pretty scenery to the picturesque town square & a look at the stalls selling jewellery etc. Then onto the train for the trip to Palma. Through 13 tunnels, one is 3km long, and spectacular scenery, to the bus back to Puerto Pollensa. Got back at 5.30 after a 9am start. All in all a very enjoyable day well worth the money.

I would like to say what a wonderful service we received today from the guide Magdalene. As well as carrying out her regular duties very well she gave great individual attention when needed. She was first class, as was the driver Francisco. Many thanks

  • Brilliant day out to see some of the most scenic parts of the island. Would recommend this trip to all, excellent value for money, extremely knowledgable guide and just enough free time at all of the stops throughout the day. I also wanted to mention the fact that i went on this trip with my mum who has walking difficulties ( uses a walking stick)and who was a bit apprehensive about how she would get off and on the various modes of transport. She had no problems at all and the guide Ester was very helpful and patient with her and a few other people using walking sticks. In all an excellent company and trip.

  • We used no frills for our trip whilst staying in Alcudia in September. We went on the trip on the train and boat through the orange groves. We chose no frills as they were not only cheaper than our holiday tour company but also because they seemed to offer more. Our guard spoke fantastic English and was extremely knowledgeable. The transport provided was very comfortable and at no time did we feel we were crowded. We will definitely use them again when we are back in Majorca as we found them to be excellent value for money.

  • Can't fault this company very good through out and very cheap all staff very pleasent along with the coach driver🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

  • We did the Island tour last year ...fantastic with Joan... and we did it this year with Esther. She did it in her own style, explained a lot about the history of buildings and the surroundings and was fantastic to her audience. Well done, Esther!! The impressions on this tour are fantastic and everything was well planned and worked excellently. I think, I will do it also a third time!! A great recommendation to nature-loving people!!
