The Island Tour excursion will keep you charmed all day thanks to its different parts: road, sea and rails, with plenty of free time in between. You will be taken down the spectacular west coast of Mallorca where you will see some of the most breathtaking views in the Mediterranean. There you will discover the UNESCO protected Serra de Tramuntana mountain range with our knowledgeable guide who will be giving you interesting information on the towns and sights we come across during the day.
Once everybody has been picked up by coach the tour proceeds to the stunning Tramuntana Mountain Range where we can enjoy the views that this area offers as we drive along the breathtaking and much photographed mountain road to Sa Calobra where you will be able to take some great photographs.
Then we will arrive at Sa Calobra where you will have free time to relax and enjoy the dreamy landscape. We always make sure we arrive early so we can see Sa Calobra at its best, when it's quiet and peaceful before other tour groups get there. This means that our clients can discover the Torrent de Paréis gorge at their leisure before the bustle begins.
After the visit to Sa Calobra we will board a modern boat that will take us to Puerto Soller. The journey by boat has a duration of approximately 40 minutes and along the way you will see spectacular views of this dramatic coastline that cannot be seen from the land.
On arrival in Puerto de Soller you will have have free time to explore, relax and have some lunch. Our guide can recommend a nice place for you to have lunch or you can stroll around looking for a place of your liking.
Once everybody has unwound and has had something to eat in Puerto Soller we will take the tram along the sea front and up through the orange and lemon orchards to the town of Soller where we will have time for a short visit around its charming historical centre before we board the famous Soller wooden train. We will follow the original journey which has barely changed in its 100 years of operation.
The train ride will take us across the impressive valley of Soller as we go through the tunnels in the mountains and the countryside until we reach the outskirts of Palma. There our coach will be awaiting us to head back to resort.
Lunch is not included, but we stop at Puerto Soller where there is time for lunch and a wide selection of cafes and restaurants.
The excursion starts between 08:30-09:00 and it comes to an end at about 17:30-18:00.
The pick-up point and time are confirmed to you after you have made your booking. You will be picked up at your hotel or a nearby meeting point. Once you make the reservation you will receive two emails:
We booked the Island tour Wed.8 October. It was very well organised with enough time at the different stops to explore each place. The guide Esta was very informative, funny and friendly. She was excellent with the less mobile people and I am sure she made their trip one to remember. The driver was very good especially on the mountain roads. We would certainly book further trips with no frills as they are very good value for money. This trip gave us a good tour of the north of the island without the hassle of driving and navigating. Booked our first trip on-line before we went. The all day Island tour, It was so brilliant we booked two more. A day in Palma and the Caves of Drach. The tour guide made as right at home. and to top it all they photograph the day and post on Facebook, just brilliant. Please don't be put off by the name. I cant praise them enough, They even sort our food at various stops to stop you being ripped off, again just brilliant. You wont be disappointed.
We booked two excursions while in Mallorca with you,for both trips, our guide was Catalina (or Cat). She was BRILLIANT, Very informative, funny and friendly. The drivers were excellent. I don't know how they managed some of the narrow streets! The around the island trip was well organised as we went on four modes of transport. Weren't late and didn't lose anyone! Any future trips to Mallorca, will definitely see us on a No frills excursion. Thanks everyone
We recently did the coach, boat, tram and train tour. The guide Juan was extremely knowledgable, friendly and humerous. The driver Pedro did an excellent job. The pick up was on time as advised prior to the trip. Juan kept us all fully informed of the itinerary for the day and it was all very enjoyable. There were plenty of stops for sight seeing/.refreshments. The tour lasted from 9am until 6pm so was excellent value for money. Throughout the day Juan took photos and by the next day they were posted on Facebook for us to access and share. Thanks for a wonderful day. We will certainly recommend this company to anyone taking a holiday in Majorca.
like everything. boat ride, tram ride and train ride. a drive though the mountain area of majorca. a 10 hour excursion for £50 good value fully recommend them.
We were welcomed onboard the coach by Monika our guide and Pedro our driver, what a fabulous pair they made!! Monika kept us entertained all day, she was great fun and very knowledgeable. The day was filled with trips on a boat, tram, train & the coach. Lovely scenery and enjoyable company, a well run day.... well worth the money, shall be using this company again on returning to Majorca... thank you.. Only if we can have Monika again!!!! I booked this trip in the UK before departing for Pollensa, so was a little apprehensive.... however never worry, the company are fab!!!
We have just spent three weeks in Puerto pollensa in Mallorca, we booked six excursions through No Frills, 1. The island tour. was an excellent day out although we felt a little rushed, but the guide Monika was excellent and had a great sense of humour, it was good to have a range of transport coach, boat, tram and train. The restaurant we all ate in was good value for money and had a good arrangement with No frills. 9/10 for the island tour. 2. Inca Market. Was a good day out, however the local market in Puerto Pollensa was better, Inca market seemed to be many stalls of the same products, the local market had a better variation of stalls and seemed a friendlier place to be. 3. Son Amar. great show, great seats, food not so good, but well organised and No Frills looked after us well 4. Rancho Grande, an excellent afternoon/evening out, horse riding, BBQ, Entertainment and line dancing. well worth the money and again no frill looked after us well. 5. Pirate adventure. Great show, good food, VIP tickets not worth paying the extra for, Guide Michael was very informative and looked after us, needed more volume on the mike in the coach though. 6. Palma Bus. a good day out
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 September 2014 We booked this as we liked the idea of combining the coach trip, with the boat, tram and train which would not be possible using our own hire car. As we were stayling at a villa in the courtyside outside Llenaire they arranged with us where we could be picked up and also where we could park our car for the day, a good start. Our guide Dori was excellent and very informative throughout and the whole day run like clockwork. On the way to SaCalobra round the twisty mountain roads Dori pointed out the interesting sites which we would have missed if just doing the drive ourselves. On route we had a short stop at the viewpoint for a comfort break and photos before arriving at SaCalobra. Once in SaCalobra we had approx 1 hour to explore and Dori suggested taking a walk to the Torrent de Pastels which was well worthwhile before boarding the boat to Port de Soller. The boat trip was enjoyable and a very nice touch was that Dori came round and asked if couples/families with cameras/phones wanted her to take a photo of them all. In Port de Soller you again have approx 1 hour to explore, some people had taken picnics, but you can also book lunch with the guide on route and she rings the order through so everything is ready when you arrive. We went for this option to save looking for somewhere ourselves especially as time is limited and it worked really well. Not sure of the name of the restaurant but it was the old tram station so you got to watch the trams out the window. Choice of fish and chips or pizza, followed by ice cream all washed down with a drink of your choice for €11. As it was all pre arranged we still had a little time for sightseeing in the Port. Tram ride to Soller where again we had approx 1 hour to explore at own pace before boarding the train to Palma. Once on the train Dori again came round too see if anyone wanted their photos taken. I am not a geat lover of organised excusrsions as on the rare occassions I have done them you seem to get taken from one sales opportunity to another and never have anytime to explore at your own pace. Although I wanted to do this tour it was nothing like what I expected. I can only say it far exceeded my expectations. Everything seemed to run like clockwork, plently of time to do a little sightseeing on your own without feeling like you were just hanging around waiting for the next thing to happen, excellent advice from our guide as to the things you could see/do at each location, very informative about everything we saw from the coach and about Mallorca in general. Excellent value for money, excellent day out, would certainly book other excursions with them in the future. Well done to everyone at No Frills Excursions.
We did this tour in early September and thought it was brilliant and great value for money. Our guide was Juan and he was hilarious (very dry sense of humour!!) The driver Xisco also joined in with the banter. I would truly recommend this day out as the mix of road, boat trip and rail travel was great and kept it very interesting. Lesley & Dave from West Sussex
Such a great day. Picked up on time near our hotel met by the tour guide cati who was a blast. Spent the next 20 mins picking up other passengers and then we were on our way. We went for the island tour. Included was a boat, train and tram ride. The scenery was magical and the tour guide was very informative. Good tour for young and old.
