The Island Tour excursion will keep you charmed all day thanks to its different parts: road, sea and rails, with plenty of free time in between. You will be taken down the spectacular west coast of Mallorca where you will see some of the most breathtaking views in the Mediterranean. There you will discover the UNESCO protected Serra de Tramuntana mountain range with our knowledgeable guide who will be giving you interesting information on the towns and sights we come across during the day.
Once everybody has been picked up by coach the tour proceeds to the stunning Tramuntana Mountain Range where we can enjoy the views that this area offers as we drive along the breathtaking and much photographed mountain road to Sa Calobra where you will be able to take some great photographs.
Then we will arrive at Sa Calobra where you will have free time to relax and enjoy the dreamy landscape. We always make sure we arrive early so we can see Sa Calobra at its best, when it's quiet and peaceful before other tour groups get there. This means that our clients can discover the Torrent de Paréis gorge at their leisure before the bustle begins.
After the visit to Sa Calobra we will board a modern boat that will take us to Puerto Soller. The journey by boat has a duration of approximately 40 minutes and along the way you will see spectacular views of this dramatic coastline that cannot be seen from the land.
On arrival in Puerto de Soller you will have have free time to explore, relax and have some lunch. Our guide can recommend a nice place for you to have lunch or you can stroll around looking for a place of your liking.
Once everybody has unwound and has had something to eat in Puerto Soller we will take the tram along the sea front and up through the orange and lemon orchards to the town of Soller where we will have time for a short visit around its charming historical centre before we board the famous Soller wooden train. We will follow the original journey which has barely changed in its 100 years of operation.
The train ride will take us across the impressive valley of Soller as we go through the tunnels in the mountains and the countryside until we reach the outskirts of Palma. There our coach will be awaiting us to head back to resort.
Lunch is not included, but we stop at Puerto Soller where there is time for lunch and a wide selection of cafes and restaurants.
The excursion starts between 08:30-09:00 and it comes to an end at about 17:30-18:00.
The pick-up point and time are confirmed to you after you have made your booking. You will be picked up at your hotel or a nearby meeting point. Once you make the reservation you will receive two emails:
Booked this in the spur of the moment as we walked past the office in Alcudia and boy; what a lucky stroke that was. From the moment we met the bus and our tour rep Kati it was an informative, interesting and really fun trip. The bus ride up (and down) the mountain was spectacular, the views, the natural beauty and the twists & turns were amazing and Fernando's driving skills were top drawer. A short break allowed for some great photo opportunities and a cool drink before the nerve racking trip down the other side toward the coast. The boat and trip was also good although softer seats would have been appreciated. Soller port was nice and a short tram ride up to the old town was also good. The old town was beautiful as was the ice cream. Train ride through beautiful scenery and through numerous tunnels was great although was really hit at times due to the amazing weather. All in all a great trip, no doubt helped by Kati's knowledge and humour and one I would definitely recommend
This tour from our hotel in Alcudia, involved a coach trip over the mountains, a boat trip around to coast, a tram ride than a train ride. We saw lovely scenery and got away from the touristy Alcudia to see the range of sites in Majorca. Our tour guides Michael and Albert we entertaining and very knowledgeable - keeping us entertained and helping us to learn some history and nature - sorry we did not spot any black vultures Michael!!! My son is 14 and he is already planning our trip back to some of the places we visited so we can spend longer at them. This tour was good value for money
After visiting Majorca for the 10th time we decided it was about time we saw a wee bit more of the Island. We couldn't have been in better hands with our guide Juan and our driver Chisco from No Frills Excursions. There is so much more to this beautiful Island than the trip from Palma Airport to your resort and we certainly saw it on our day trip. Juan was a mine of information on all aspects of our trip and having HENRY the mascot along with us was a novel idea of finding our way back to our guide after free time. We would never have attempted this trip under our own steam, some of the mountain roads are not for the faint hearted but our drive Chisco drove the coach with care and a great deal of skill making us all feel safe on the journey.
We booked the island tour through No frills, it cost 62 euros each. It was a full day event, including a bus ride up into the mountains, a boat ride along the coast, a look round the port of Soller, and a Tram ride to the town itself, and then a rustic train journey to Palma (well almost) and return travel.. Our guide was very knowledgeable and kept us informed at all stages. only downside was the times at each stop could be either too long, or not long enough.
The tour picks you up at your hotel we travel by coach to Sa Calobra a site to behold, from here a 45 minute boat trip to port of Soller, tram ride to Soller then a train ride to outside of Palma where the coach back to your hotel. We were picked up by Cisco, Mike and Albert, Cisco is the driver, Cisco Kid I like to call him and has a excellent sense of humour a good member of the team. Albert began the tour guide and handed over to Mike who we have met on other tours, both provided valuable information on route to each destination. On arriving at Sa Calora we were advised when the boat sailed giving us at least 1/2 hour to walk the 150 metres to the gorge along a path that ran through to tunnels cut in the cliff face. First impressions were wow the sun light, high cliffs and blue water. The boat ride took us along the coast where we stopped to view caves located on the way, this give a real clue to the structure of the island. On arriving at port Soller again we are told where to gather for the tram ride and what time we should meet, we went off the main street and had a snack, try the fresh orange juice. The tram took us again to Soller station where again we were advised what time to meet to get the train and we had over half of hour of free time, here we tried the orange ice cream topped up with fresh orange juice, refreshing. The only hiccup was everybody arrived for the train except three women who did not arrive on time, we waited and eventually left without them, Albert and Mike we very specific that the train would go if you were not there on time. The guides left word with the station master and we were told later that they were on a later train and would get off at Bunayola where the coach would then pick them up. The tour is well put together and give a good insight into the island geography and the guides educate you as the tour developeds. A must for all traveller's.
We went on THE ISLAND TOUR , Collected from the Hotel by Coach ( on time too) over the island to La Caloba then by Boat to Puerto Soller then a great trip on the Tram through the viilage lemon and orange growths in back gardens to Soller to the Electric Train back to just outside Palma and returning to our hotel. Our guide DORI WAS A WEALTH OF INFORMATION and helped make the trip a success , A GREAT DAY OUT.
We went on the Island tour today. Good value for money - such a lot packed into one day! Juan was a very entertaining and knowledgeable guide - lots of interesting info delivered in a fun way. Xisco the driver was SO skilled on the very windy mountain roads. Such a variety of activities- coach through the mountains, boat to Soller then back to hotels via wooden tram, train and bus. Only one small drawback - restaurants in Soller very busy so lunch was a bit tight, time wise. Good day however. Definitely recommend the trip Tina Millar

Would definitely recommend this trip. Thanks again Juan for making our day.oh and thanks for the almond.
We have visited Majorca may times and have now settled down to staying in our favorite place, Cala san Vicente. We use No Frills and have watched them rightly grow. This time we did the Island Tour. Staying out of the way is no problem, we are picked up at our Hotel and dropped at the bus. Our Guide was Albert, loves his homeland and talks entertainingly. A talented lad with a degree in History. He controls his group of relaxed tourists with ease. Imparts loads of interesting facts spliced with humor and personal stories. The journey is spectacular with winding mountain roads a sea voyage and a journey through the orange groves in a vintage train, Superb don't miss it
