Discover Mallorca by coach, boat, train and tram on the Island Tour. This trip has it all: Beautiful mountain and coastal scenery, a ride on a vintage train, orange and lemon groves…

Island Tour overview:

What to expect on this trip:

The Island Tour excursion will keep you charmed all day thanks to its different parts: road, sea and rails, with plenty of free time in between. You will be taken down the spectacular west coast of Mallorca where you will see some of the most breathtaking views in the Mediterranean. There you will discover the UNESCO protected Serra de Tramuntana mountain range with our knowledgeable guide who will be giving you interesting information on the towns and sights we come across during the day.

Once everybody has been picked up by coach the tour proceeds to the stunning Tramuntana Mountain Range where we can enjoy the views that this area offers as we drive along the breathtaking and much photographed mountain road to Sa Calobra where you will be able to take some great photographs.

Then we will arrive at Sa Calobra where you will have free time to relax and enjoy the dreamy landscape. We always make sure we arrive early so we can see Sa Calobra at its best, when it's quiet and peaceful before other tour groups get there. This means that our clients can discover the Torrent de Paréis gorge at their leisure before the bustle begins.

After the visit to Sa Calobra we will board a modern boat that will take us to Puerto Soller. The journey by boat has a duration of approximately 40 minutes and along the way you will see spectacular views of this dramatic coastline that cannot be seen from the land.

On arrival in Puerto de Soller you will have have free time to explore, relax and have some lunch. Our guide can recommend a nice place for you to have lunch or you can stroll around looking for a place of your liking.

Once everybody has unwound and has had something to eat in Puerto Soller we will take the tram along the sea front and up through the orange and lemon orchards to the town of Soller where we will have time for a short visit around its charming historical centre before we board the famous Soller wooden train. We will follow the original journey which has barely changed in its 100 years of operation.

The train ride will take us across the impressive valley of Soller as we go through the tunnels in the mountains and the countryside until we reach the outskirts of Palma. There our coach will be awaiting us to head back to resort.

Reasons why you should book online:

  • Much cheaper prices compared to tour operators.
  • It is a hassle free way to ensure you make the most of your day. We have the day planned to the finest detail so that all that is left for you to do is enjoy the excursion.
  • Your places will be guaranteed on all the modes of transports included in the excursion: bus, boat, tram and train so you will avoid nasty surpirses like arriving and not being able to board, which would not be a pleasant experience.
  • Easy to book: confirm your details, secure online payment, receive your e-voucher and then we confirm your pick up details by e-mail.
  • Peace of mind: have your places guaranteed before you arrive in resort. You can either print the voucher or just show it on your smartphone, tablet or device.

Additional information about the Island Tour:

What is included in the price?

  • Return transport on an air conditioned coach (which will be the same coach all day meaning you can leave things onboard if you need to).
  • English speaking guide who will escort you throughout the day giving you a full commentary of the areas you visit.
  • Soller train journey (50 minutes).
  • Soller Tram Journey (25 minutes).
  • Boat trip from Sa Calobra to Puerto Soller (45 minutes).
  • Travel insurance

Lunch is not included, but we stop at Puerto Soller where there is time for lunch and a wide selection of cafes and restaurants.

Approximate timetable of the trip:

The excursion starts between 08:30-09:00 and it comes to an end at about  17:30-18:00.

Pick up point:

The pick-up point and time are confirmed to you after you have made your booking. You will be picked up at your hotel or a nearby meeting point. Once you make the reservation you will receive two emails:

  • A first one with all the details related to the booking which you can either print or show on the day of the excursion on your mobile phone or tablet.
  • A second email indicating the exact pick up point and the time you must be there.

Some practical information for the day of the excursion:

  • Don’t forget your photo camera, you will most definitely need it!
  • There will be time for lunch in Puerto Soller.
  • The boat trip is subject to weather and sea conditions. In the unlikely event that the boat trip is cancelled due to bad weather an alternative route will be taken by coach, missing out Sa Calobra and (when possible) taking a shorter boat trip in the bay of Puerto Soller. This is beyond our control and no refunds or partial refunds will be given if this occurs.

Just arrived home from a wonderful holiday in Peurto Pollenca made even better by going on the Island Tour.A very well thought out tour with sufficient time on each element. We had been on this tour about 9 years ago and enjoyed it then we were certainly not disappointed this time as it was equally as good and well run. Thank you NO FRILLS

We went on the island tour 2 days ago & it was well worth the price. We went along unbelievable mountain roads with breathtaking views. We stopped off at a small taverna to buy drinks, food & use the toilet. We then got to Sa calobra which is a tiny place with some small cafés & 2 small beaches. It's very picturesque & you could walk along a small trail to an isolated beach. From here we got on a boat to port soller. We spent about 1hr 30 mins here to have lunch & look around. It's a beautiful place with shops, restaurants & a beach. Then we took the tram to soller & stayed about 45 mins before getting the old train back to the bus. With more breathtaking scenery to be seen. I think the time we spent in each place was about right, but maybe 20 mins more would of been better in port soller. Our guide juan was very funny & was very knowledgeable & our driver Carlos was also very good. I would definately book with no frills again, the price is cheaper than the holiday companies & I found it to be better. We travelled with 3 small children & they were well catered for. I would highly recommend no frills. You can book online or you will find several no frills reps at stands around alcudia.

Island Tour – what a fantastic day out, with breathtaking scenery (seen via coach, ferry, tram and train) and excellent value. Our guide Juan was a great host, very informative and helpful and had a wicked sense of humour. Credit also to Xisco, our driver for some fantastic driving during the mountain part of the journey on those very narrow roads, when with real skill he managed to avoid hitting any of the numerous “cyclists” which we encountered.

we did the island tour which covered so much in one day - trip on boat / tram / train - seeing so much of the island - a special mention for Juan the guide ( such a sense iof humour) and the driver Xisco who managed those throat catching bends on the mountain perfectly - using No Frills saved us money Visited May 2015

We went on the Island Tour on Sunday 31st May and had a really good day. Our guide Juan is very funny and should be a comedian. He has a lot of stories about the places we visited and was very friendly and helpful. Our driver Xisco was brilliant driving around all those tight mountain bends. I kept my eyes shut! The weather was perfect and it was so enjoyable going on the boat, tram and little wooden train. The scenery was spectacular. we recommend it! Visited May 2015

We are not usually interested in organised trips but our friend really wanted to go on the Island Tour. It was a worthwhile trip in every way. Would thoroughly recommend this day out, beautiful scenery and we were kept well informed and entertained by our guide. Also Duncan gets a mention at No Frills....he put up with us...always with a smile and had some good tips for eating out in Alcudia and general knowledge of the area. Visited May 2015

Great day out from our pick up to drop off with our tour guide Jaun what a guy, so funny, considerate & caring to us passengers. His knowledge of everything was so good. Top marks to our driver Pedro he handled those tight cornered mountain roads so professionally. The whole day was fab. Bus, boat, tram & train. Highly recommend on your hols in Majorca & very good value at €57 per adult. Visited June 2015

We were really well looked after on this trip, which was one of the most enjoyable we have ever done. We are two oldies and the guide was so caring throughout, and the driver of the excellently-appointed coach was a model of patience, with leisurely, careful driving throughout a long day. This tour, booked through our hotel, was appreciably cheaper than the one which could be booked through our travel company. No frills? How much better could it have been? Visited June 2015
