The Island Tour excursion will keep you charmed all day thanks to its different parts: road, sea and rails, with plenty of free time in between. You will be taken down the spectacular west coast of Mallorca where you will see some of the most breathtaking views in the Mediterranean. There you will discover the UNESCO protected Serra de Tramuntana mountain range with our knowledgeable guide who will be giving you interesting information on the towns and sights we come across during the day.
Once everybody has been picked up by coach the tour proceeds to the stunning Tramuntana Mountain Range where we can enjoy the views that this area offers as we drive along the breathtaking and much photographed mountain road to Sa Calobra where you will be able to take some great photographs.
Then we will arrive at Sa Calobra where you will have free time to relax and enjoy the dreamy landscape. We always make sure we arrive early so we can see Sa Calobra at its best, when it's quiet and peaceful before other tour groups get there. This means that our clients can discover the Torrent de Paréis gorge at their leisure before the bustle begins.
After the visit to Sa Calobra we will board a modern boat that will take us to Puerto Soller. The journey by boat has a duration of approximately 40 minutes and along the way you will see spectacular views of this dramatic coastline that cannot be seen from the land.
On arrival in Puerto de Soller you will have have free time to explore, relax and have some lunch. Our guide can recommend a nice place for you to have lunch or you can stroll around looking for a place of your liking.
Once everybody has unwound and has had something to eat in Puerto Soller we will take the tram along the sea front and up through the orange and lemon orchards to the town of Soller where we will have time for a short visit around its charming historical centre before we board the famous Soller wooden train. We will follow the original journey which has barely changed in its 100 years of operation.
The train ride will take us across the impressive valley of Soller as we go through the tunnels in the mountains and the countryside until we reach the outskirts of Palma. There our coach will be awaiting us to head back to resort.
Lunch is not included, but we stop at Puerto Soller where there is time for lunch and a wide selection of cafes and restaurants.
The excursion starts between 08:30-09:00 and it comes to an end at about 17:30-18:00.
The pick-up point and time are confirmed to you after you have made your booking. You will be picked up at your hotel or a nearby meeting point. Once you make the reservation you will receive two emails:
Prachtige, goed georganiseerde " island trip". Visited June 2015
Fantastisk tur over Tramuntana til Sa Calobra. Med båd videre til Port Soller og derefter med Tram og tog til Palma. Juan var en fantastisk og dedikeret guide. Visited June 2015
We took the Mallorca Island Tour with Xisco and Juan and had a great day. Juan was the best tour guide we have ever come across and he kept us interested and laughing all day. Driving down the mountain road was certainly a challenge, however Xisco made it look easy on those narrow bends and Juan made us laugh, even though it looked dangerous! This is a really well organised company and we highly recommend it.
Although we have done the trip a few times before, we had my sister in law with us, who was visiting Majorca for the first time, so we booked the Island Trip. It is a very good day out, with Magdalena, our guide keeping us informed of all the points of interest as we made our way around. It is very good value, including the coach travel, a boat trip, tram from Port de Soller to Soller Town and then the train through the mountains back to the outskirts of Palma. A tiring day but well worth the cost and effort. Visited June 2015
Went on island tour with Cat and Juan today. Very pleased with every aspect of tour bar one. Myself and my party regrettably chose to eat in a place in port de soller recommended and organised by our guide. In fairness to Cat it was organised very well and we were under NO pressure to eat here. Cat was a great guide and Juan an expert driver. It would be unfair to rate "NO Frills" negatively so I haven't but a bit of constructive criticism would be to find business associates or partners that can perform to as high a standard as your selves. I would have no problem recommending a no frills tour but the restaurant deal left a bad taste in the mouth literally.
We did the island tour, because trying to sort out the train back from Soller is a nightmare. The trip was really good, lots to see, and enough time at stopovers to have a look round. The guide was excellent. Friendly, and informative. It was a good out and for what you get, I think that the price was reasonable. I would certainly use No Frills again. Visited July 2015
We had a fabulous day hosted by the 'beautiful hand, beautiful face' Dori. The mountain road was certainly entertaining testing the skills of the driver and boat trip lovely. Our favourite part was the Soller Tram going past orange, lemon groves. So glad we booked this, was great seeing the other side to Mallorca away from the beach resorts. Good value for money too. We booked locally to go on this tour that I had seen just before we departed the UK for Mallorca and the Pollenca staff were really helpful during the booking process. We departed on the tour in a coach driven by Tony, who was very skilful on the tight twisty mountain roads. We also met Juan our tour guide who became a superstar guide throughout the day. He could do enough to help people out throughout the whole day. After the coach comes a nice 45 minute boat ride to Port of Soller where you get to have some free time and enough time for lunch. Juan did recommend a restaurant (Mir-a Mar) and his recommendation was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who booked to go there and it was excellent value for money. Time for the tram trip from the port to Soller followed by enough time to have a nice cooling drink and lots of choices of ice cream and places to buy them. Last part was the train trip from Soller to the outskirts of Palma which was especially good because we as a family of five were lucky enough to get the upgrade to the first class carriage for the journey. The only thing missing was the ice cold champagne and the canapy's, but who cares. From Palma it was a sleepy relaxing coach ride back to Pollensa. This is a full day with a variety of travel methods to some great places with tour guides that go that extra mile, This tour is well worth doing and really is great value for money and if your lucky enough to get Juan you will in the words of "Haircut 100" have a "Juantastic Day" Visited July 2015
We were staying in Alcudia last week and decided to book a tour with this company- and they certainly did not disappoint. The tour guide we had was Caty and she was a real gem and very very funny. We did the coach/boat/tram/train tour to Soller and other places and we were so impressed we decided to book the tour to the Caves of Drach the next day. Well done all- two great days out!
My wife and I did the Island Tour in June, I had some reservations about the cost of 56 Euros each but it turned out to be excellent value as the trip includes a boat ride, a vintage tram ride and a vintage train ride included in the price. We were picked up close to our hotel and welcomed on board by our tour guide Juan and driver Cisco. Both were very good and Juan's commentary was very informative and entertaining. The tour starts by taking you up through the mountains before stopping off for a refreshment and comfort break. You than head back down the mountains to Sa Colabra (the views through the mountains are superb) where you have a short time to look round and walk down to the ravine (both the beach and ravine are beautiful) before setting of on a boat trip to Port Soller. You have more time at Port Soller to have lunch and walk round before getting on the vintage tram to make the trip to the town of Soller. Once at Soller you again get a little time to look around and take some refreshments before the vintage train ride to just outside Palma where you meet back up with the coach for the journey back to your resort. There's a lot to see and a lot to take in and Juan does a brilliant job of keeping everything running smoothly and making sure everyone is in the right place at the right time which helps to make this excursion very enjoyable particularly as he has such a personal and friendly manner and approach to his work. I would definitely recommend this trip as a very good way of seeing some lovely parts of Mallorca in one go and getting a wonderful boat, tram and train ride into the bargain. We had a wonderful day and so many thanks to Juan and Cisco.
