Discover Mallorca by coach, boat, train and tram on the Island Tour. This trip has it all: Beautiful mountain and coastal scenery, a ride on a vintage train, orange and lemon groves…

Island Tour overview:

What to expect on this trip:

The Island Tour excursion will keep you charmed all day thanks to its different parts: road, sea and rails, with plenty of free time in between. You will be taken down the spectacular west coast of Mallorca where you will see some of the most breathtaking views in the Mediterranean. There you will discover the UNESCO protected Serra de Tramuntana mountain range with our knowledgeable guide who will be giving you interesting information on the towns and sights we come across during the day.

Once everybody has been picked up by coach the tour proceeds to the stunning Tramuntana Mountain Range where we can enjoy the views that this area offers as we drive along the breathtaking and much photographed mountain road to Sa Calobra where you will be able to take some great photographs.

Then we will arrive at Sa Calobra where you will have free time to relax and enjoy the dreamy landscape. We always make sure we arrive early so we can see Sa Calobra at its best, when it's quiet and peaceful before other tour groups get there. This means that our clients can discover the Torrent de Paréis gorge at their leisure before the bustle begins.

After the visit to Sa Calobra we will board a modern boat that will take us to Puerto Soller. The journey by boat has a duration of approximately 40 minutes and along the way you will see spectacular views of this dramatic coastline that cannot be seen from the land.

On arrival in Puerto de Soller you will have have free time to explore, relax and have some lunch. Our guide can recommend a nice place for you to have lunch or you can stroll around looking for a place of your liking.

Once everybody has unwound and has had something to eat in Puerto Soller we will take the tram along the sea front and up through the orange and lemon orchards to the town of Soller where we will have time for a short visit around its charming historical centre before we board the famous Soller wooden train. We will follow the original journey which has barely changed in its 100 years of operation.

The train ride will take us across the impressive valley of Soller as we go through the tunnels in the mountains and the countryside until we reach the outskirts of Palma. There our coach will be awaiting us to head back to resort.

Reasons why you should book online:

  • Much cheaper prices compared to tour operators.
  • It is a hassle free way to ensure you make the most of your day. We have the day planned to the finest detail so that all that is left for you to do is enjoy the excursion.
  • Your places will be guaranteed on all the modes of transports included in the excursion: bus, boat, tram and train so you will avoid nasty surpirses like arriving and not being able to board, which would not be a pleasant experience.
  • Easy to book: confirm your details, secure online payment, receive your e-voucher and then we confirm your pick up details by e-mail.
  • Peace of mind: have your places guaranteed before you arrive in resort. You can either print the voucher or just show it on your smartphone, tablet or device.

Additional information about the Island Tour:

What is included in the price?

  • Return transport on an air conditioned coach (which will be the same coach all day meaning you can leave things onboard if you need to).
  • English speaking guide who will escort you throughout the day giving you a full commentary of the areas you visit.
  • Soller train journey (50 minutes).
  • Soller Tram Journey (25 minutes).
  • Boat trip from Sa Calobra to Puerto Soller (45 minutes).
  • Travel insurance

Lunch is not included, but we stop at Puerto Soller where there is time for lunch and a wide selection of cafes and restaurants.

Approximate timetable of the trip:

The excursion starts between 08:30-09:00 and it comes to an end at about  17:30-18:00.

Pick up point:

The pick-up point and time are confirmed to you after you have made your booking. You will be picked up at your hotel or a nearby meeting point. Once you make the reservation you will receive two emails:

  • A first one with all the details related to the booking which you can either print or show on the day of the excursion on your mobile phone or tablet.
  • A second email indicating the exact pick up point and the time you must be there.

Some practical information for the day of the excursion:

  • Don’t forget your photo camera, you will most definitely need it!
  • There will be time for lunch in Puerto Soller.
  • The boat trip is subject to weather and sea conditions. In the unlikely event that the boat trip is cancelled due to bad weather an alternative route will be taken by coach, missing out Sa Calobra and (when possible) taking a shorter boat trip in the bay of Puerto Soller. This is beyond our control and no refunds or partial refunds will be given if this occurs.

The day started early at 8.30. The air conditioned coach collected us from a pick up point, close to our hotels we were staying at. Our guide was called Kati, she was very friendly and joyful with a vast knowledge of her country. We drove with our driver to the Serra de Tramuntana Mountain Range and stopped at the top to take photographs and take refreshments, that stop was approx 20 mins and just enough. We then boarded the coach again in the same seats and drove down the bendy windy road to a pretty cove called La Calobra. We had to take all of our belongings from the coach. La Calobra is very pretty, but only full of cafes and restaurants that were rather over priced. The time given for this break was rather too long as we had only just had a refreshment break. The next part of the tour was by boat, a refreshing cruise along the rugged coastline from La Calobra to Puerto Soller. Puerto Soller is a larger harbour of many size boats, surrounded by bars, restaurants, cafes and ice cream shops. An hour and a half was again too long to spend time here, although pretty, hot and expensive we were told to look out for 'pick pockets' as they have a problem here with them. The next stage of the journey was by tram taking us for an authentic journey through orange and lemon groves in Soller. Stopping for yet another refreshment break of Ice Creams and Fresh Orange Juice. We then boarded an original wooden carriage train, passing through numerous tunnels to the collection point in Palma, where the coach was waiting to take us back to our Hotels. The journey to our hotels was mostly motorways. We returned to our hotels approx 6pm. In my opinion, how ever nice...the day was too long and should be made into a half day excursion by cutting down on all the unnecessary breaks and perhaps sacrificing either the tram or the train as the journey was much the same to look at.

Muchas Gracias. Visited July 2015

We have had a magnificent trip with Juan and Xisco from No Frills. We have seen Sa Calobra, Soller and Port de Soller and we traveled by coach, boat, tram and an 102 year old train. It was a great experience and we can recommend this trip to all the new visitors of Mallorca! Gr. Thom y Ingrid

I went to Alcudia Majorca for the fabulous white beach and clear, aqua sea. However a few days of unpredictable weather had me seeking alternative attractions, so the two days before my departure I was lucky enough to get the last remaining seat on the following day's No Frills Island Bus Tour, which started at 9 am and ended about 5.30 in the evening. It was fabulous. The best 60 Euro spent on this trip. First of all, as a single traveler, it was wonderful to be around a group of people, mainly English and German tourists. Our courier, Juan, a local Majorcan, was amazing, managing to impart his knowledge of the various places we visited in perfect English and German, whilst also making us laugh heartily with his tremendous humour. Our friendly driver Pedro also did a fine job, steering us safely through those dramatic, hairpin bends in the Tramuntana Mountains. On arrival in the picturesque port of Sa Calobra I took a few rays on the rocks before boarding the 40 minute boat ride to the exquisite Port de Soller. The added bonus was that, although the weather was unpredictable, it seemed like we were following the sun as we made out way around the island. I could have taken beach time but chose to potter in the various cute boutiques along the cobble stoned street for the 90 minutes we had there, and then boarded the tram heading inland to the town of Soller. This was another magnificent spot where I would love to have lingered longer to enjoy the beautiful Cathedral and a leisurely lunch in the charming town square where, by the way, you can stay hydrated by refilling your water bottle with the spring clean well water. I did and I am still alive ! And yes, I drank it too ! Reluctant to leave, I vowed to return another time to both Soller and Port de Soller as I boarded the 100 year old Soller train, with its rich mahogany wood, heading back to the coach bus. From there we drove through the countryside and several tunnels which were built into the mountains, en route back to the resort. However, though staying in Alcudia I chose to be dropped off at the next resort of Puerto Pollensa with its beautiful Pine Walk lined with gorgeous restaurants all looking out to the ocean, boats and distant mirage like mountains. A perfect end to a perfect day. It's true, every cloud has a silver lining. Highly recommended. Visited June 2015

Vielen Dank. Sonst war aber wirklich alles super!!! Viele Grüße aus Deutschland. Familie Daniel ;-) Visited June 2015
