With this excursion we will give you the opportunity to discover the city of Palma de Mallorca, capital of the Balearic Islands in the most hassle-free and comfortable way. You will be able to make the most out of your day thanks to all the useful information our guide will share with you during the journey. Enjoy a full day of shopping and sightseeing with No Frills Excursions as you get an insight into Mallorca's rich and interesting culture.
On the way to Palma, our guide will give you valuable and interesting information as well as a map of Palma City so that you can plan the day ahead in the most comfortable way, on our air conditioned coach. Our guide will give you the best suggestions for sightseeing and shopping in Palma so that all that's left for you to do is to decide how you want to spend your day and enjoy.
Once we get to Palma, we will stay on the coach and make an interesting sightseeing tour (approx 60 minutes). We will pass the habour, the cruise port and Palma Cathedral, with a 20 minutes stop at the San Carlos Castle from where we can enjoy spectacular views of Palma’s port. (Please note that on Mondays, as the castle is closed, there is no stop there.)
Once we have seen Palma's most important sights, we will drop you off opposite the cathedral, which is a five minute walk from the shopping area and Palma's historical area. From this moment you have more than four and a half hours of free time to explore the old town, visit the cathedral or go shopping. Shopping in Palma is a great experience as you have a wide selection of shops that range from luxurious boutiques to large department stores and well-known retailers.
As you also have time for lunch in the city we suggest that you don't miss out on the opportunity to savour some typical Spanish and Mallorcan food. Therefore we recommend visiting La Lonja, the tapas area in Palma de Mallorca and the old fisherman’s port.
This excursion was voted as the best value for money day out last year by our customers who said to have got their money's worth with an unbeatable service.
We also offer a more complete option to visit Palma, which includes all the above plus a 45 minutes guided walk with a licensed guide, entrance to the cathedral and a 45 minutes guided visit with live comentary in the cathedral:
You can also add to this same Palmabus excursion, a 60 minutes boat trip in the Port of Palma:
There is no better value for money option to go to Palma than this excursion, just see all the things included in the price! Plus you have a guaranteed seat on the bus, unlike the public bus where you may have to queue and could be left behind in Palma making a costly taxi the only option to return to resort.
The excursion starts at about 09:30 and gets back to resort at around 18:00
The pick-up point and time are confirmed to you after you have made your booking. You will be picked up at your hotel or a nearby meeting point. Once you make the reservation you will receive two emails:
Even though there is a cheaper and quite good public bus (which we have used),we used these guys for a trip to Palma as we didn't like the scramble for places at the bus station for the public variety. We had a reasonably priced trip (I think it was 18 euro), guide and free Wi-Fi. We took a trip out through Palma to a viewing site at an old fort. Interesting, Then we were dropped off in the city for free time with a voucher for something (I can't remember if it was food or drink or both) at the El Corte Ingles store. Some people went off with the guide for a tour but having been in the city a couple of times previously, we went off on our own. With a prearranged meeting at Café Venecia, we were rounded up and a group of happy punters ferried home in time for evening meal.

My wife and I booked this excursion directly from our hotel in Malpas, Alcudia. We paid in advance using Visa and were promptly picked up at our hotel by taxi to drive the short distance to the coach meeting point in Port Alcudia. The coach party was accompanied by an English and German speaking guide, whose language accomplishments were excellent. Our thanks go to this very professional young lady, whose name is Lilyane. She made a great success of her job, with clear descriptions, organisational skills and an obvious love of her job. Our coach party arrived late morning at our Palma destination, when we were treated to a tour of all the main sites while seated in our fully air-conditioned coach, and then we were invited to a welcoming drink with tapa in the 7th floor restaurant of the fashionable department store, El Corte Inglés. No complaints of any sort. Lilyane had explained our sightseeing possibilities in advance, greatly aided by the provision of a detailed street plan of Palma and recommendations as to the timing of our free time in the areas of the city we wished to visit. We walked through the old jewellery quarter as far as the square in front of the magnificent Cathedral, which overlooks the port and marinas in the bay below. For travellers who have little experience of some of the practices of café and restaurant proprietors, always make sure you identify the obligatory price lists in the cafés around the cathedral, note the price of what you order and make sure the price list refers to the café in which you are sitting. From one café to the next (a matter of only two metres apart), the price of a small Spanish beer served on the terrace can vary by as much as 300% ! Caveat emptor. Enjoy the stroll through the old town, enjoy the somewhat hectic lifestyle of the Palma people. Pause for a cool drink or a coffee at one of the many interesting cafés, take a look at the many houses that date from the late 19th century, merchants’ houses, banks, small specialist food shops in the Carrer del Sindicat, the Plaza Cort and view the parliament building before reaching the cathedral in La Seu. For slow walkers, the distance across the old part of the city can take the best part of an hour. Worth every minute. To round off a very satisfying day’s excursion, our coach delivered us at the door of our hotel in time for dinner, at about 7.30 pm. Visited September 201
Vielen Dank!! Visited October 2015
Having previously been on a tour with this company we were determined to use them again and chose the day out in Palma. Once again the service was efficient and the guide on the bus was excellent in her explanations to the passengers. The balance of the time driving around Palma with commentary, the short stop at a museum and the amount of free time was good. The introduction to El Corte Ingles along with the tapa is a good idea. I would recommend to people on the trip that they try a little more with the tapa in the restaurant as the bar food is excellent - we tried the ensalata Russo and the salpicon de marisca, good standard tapas. A trip worth doing, good value for the price and excellently presented. Visited October 2015
Visited October 2015
