Brilliant day trip to Palma, made extremely interesting by sociable knowledgeable guide Pete, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, well worth the price which included free glass of wine & tapas on roof terrace Visited September 2015

My wife and I booked this excursion directly from our hotel in Malpas, Alcudia. We paid in advance using Visa and were promptly picked up at our hotel by taxi to drive the short distance to the coach meeting point in Port Alcudia. The coach party was accompanied by an English and German speaking guide, whose language accomplishments were excellent. Our thanks go to this very professional young lady, whose name is Lilyane. She made a great success of her job, with clear descriptions, organisational skills and an obvious love of her job. Our coach party arrived late morning at our Palma destination, when we were treated to a tour of all the main sites while seated in our fully air-conditioned coach, and then we were invited to a welcoming drink with tapa in the 7th floor restaurant of the fashionable department store, El Corte Inglés. No complaints of any sort. Lilyane had explained our sightseeing possibilities in advance, greatly aided by the provision of a detailed street plan of Palma and recommendations as to the timing of our free time in the areas of the city we wished to visit. We walked through the old jewellery quarter as far as the square in front of the magnificent Cathedral, which overlooks the port and marinas in the bay below. For travellers who have little experience of some of the practices of café and restaurant proprietors, always make sure you identify the obligatory price lists in the cafés around the cathedral, note the price of what you order and make sure the price list refers to the café in which you are sitting. From one café to the next (a matter of only two metres apart), the price of a small Spanish beer served on the terrace can vary by as much as 300% ! Caveat emptor. Enjoy the stroll through the old town, enjoy the somewhat hectic lifestyle of the Palma people. Pause for a cool drink or a coffee at one of the many interesting cafés, take a look at the many houses that date from the late 19th century, merchants’ houses, banks, small specialist food shops in the Carrer del Sindicat, the Plaza Cort and view the parliament building before reaching the cathedral in La Seu. For slow walkers, the distance across the old part of the city can take the best part of an hour. Worth every minute. To round off a very satisfying day’s excursion, our coach delivered us at the door of our hotel in time for dinner, at about 7.30 pm. Visited September 201

Vielen Dank!! Visited October 2015

Having previously been on a tour with this company we were determined to use them again and chose the day out in Palma. Once again the service was efficient and the guide on the bus was excellent in her explanations to the passengers. The balance of the time driving around Palma with commentary, the short stop at a museum and the amount of free time was good. The introduction to El Corte Ingles along with the tapa is a good idea. I would recommend to people on the trip that they try a little more with the tapa in the restaurant as the bar food is excellent - we tried the ensalata Russo and the salpicon de marisca, good standard tapas. A trip worth doing, good value for the price and excellently presented. Visited October 2015

Visited October 2015

The Palma day bus was full- we had only 2/7 dry, sunny days so a trip out was much needed. I'm a bit of a culture/history buff and was highly impressed with Lorenzo, our tour guide for the trip. Every bit of information was relevant, timely - as in when approaching places of interest - and through the trip - not just when we got to Palma. consequently we found out more about Majorca and its history. How on earth the driver kept to the timings is beyond me - but he did and that included showing us the drop-off and pick up points, a tour around the centre to help us get our bearings and down to the cathedral and up to the castle for a photo stop. We had a choice of drop-offs which was great as you could choose depending on the type of day you wanted. Another reviewer said they were dropped off at a large store and left - the store is the biggest and close to an island from which you can aim for the shops, the cathedral/museums etc - maybe some explanation was missed on that person's tour. However Palma is very busy so you do need to have a map or guide. Lorenzo gave several people advice and used the map provided to show us how to get around. I would highly recommend the Palma day bus tour, if you get Lorenzo as your guide you will have an excellent experience and all the advice you need to get to see as much as you can.

We travelled on the Palma bus excursion and the trip was great. After pick ups from various hotels around Pollensa, Jenny, our guide, spoke about the island on the way to Palma. We arrived around 12pm and then had five hours free time to explore the city. We decided to do the free tour walk (which was also amazing) from playa espana. We then explored the shopping and various cafe's until we were picked up. The tour was just right, we were offered a choice of boat trips, walks, shopping and in the end we enjoyed doing our own thing. Recommend no frills gladly.
