With this excursion we will give you the opportunity to discover the city of Palma de Mallorca, capital of the Balearic Islands in the most hassle-free and comfortable way. You will be able to make the most out of your day thanks to all the useful information our guide will share with you during the journey. Enjoy a full day of shopping and sightseeing with No Frills Excursions as you get an insight into Mallorca's rich and interesting culture.
On the way to Palma, our guide will give you valuable and interesting information as well as a map of Palma City so that you can plan the day ahead in the most comfortable way, on our air conditioned coach. Our guide will give you the best suggestions for sightseeing and shopping in Palma so that all that's left for you to do is to decide how you want to spend your day and enjoy.
Once we get to Palma, we will stay on the coach and make an interesting sightseeing tour (approx 60 minutes). We will pass the habour, the cruise port and Palma Cathedral, with a 20 minutes stop at the San Carlos Castle from where we can enjoy spectacular views of Palma’s port. (Please note that on Mondays, as the castle is closed, there is no stop there.)
Once we have seen Palma's most important sights, we will drop you off opposite the cathedral, which is a five minute walk from the shopping area and Palma's historical area. From this moment you have more than four and a half hours of free time to explore the old town, visit the cathedral or go shopping. Shopping in Palma is a great experience as you have a wide selection of shops that range from luxurious boutiques to large department stores and well-known retailers.
As you also have time for lunch in the city we suggest that you don't miss out on the opportunity to savour some typical Spanish and Mallorcan food. Therefore we recommend visiting La Lonja, the tapas area in Palma de Mallorca and the old fisherman’s port.
This excursion was voted as the best value for money day out last year by our customers who said to have got their money's worth with an unbeatable service.
We also offer a more complete option to visit Palma, which includes all the above plus a 45 minutes guided walk with a licensed guide, entrance to the cathedral and a 45 minutes guided visit with live comentary in the cathedral:
You can also add to this same Palmabus excursion, a 60 minutes boat trip in the Port of Palma:
There is no better value for money option to go to Palma than this excursion, just see all the things included in the price! Plus you have a guaranteed seat on the bus, unlike the public bus where you may have to queue and could be left behind in Palma making a costly taxi the only option to return to resort.
The excursion starts at about 09:30 and gets back to resort at around 18:00
The pick-up point and time are confirmed to you after you have made your booking. You will be picked up at your hotel or a nearby meeting point. Once you make the reservation you will receive two emails:
We used no frills for the PalmaBus and the Island Tour, both of which were absolutely excellent value for money. Our guide for the island tour was Cati and she was excellent. We had 2 disabled people on our coach and she was always on hand to help them. I was very impressed.
We were picked up at our hotel promptly as booked and after a few more stops, were soon on our way to Palma. There was a brief stop to drop of holidaymakers at the Palma Aquarium before going on to Palma Castle. The site overlooks the port and is a wonderful vantage point for taking aerial views of Palma old town. The stay was long enough to climb the battlements and take all the photos anyone could want. It was not long enough to take in the history of the castle and tour the whole site so make a choice...... We boarded the bus to be taken into Palma shopping centre - a short walk from the old town and the main square. From here we headed for the Cathedral with its magnificent flying buttresses and dominating façade. We were awestruck by its magnificence and beauty. A trip to the shops could also have been on the cards but we were too taken in by the old town and its narrow streets and history. We had lunch in the Plaza Mejor - (not included in the excursion price.) Here we were entertained by street dancers, jugglers, martial arts and street gymnastics etc. We will have to return again some day to do full justice to this gorgeous city and all its attractions. This was a worthwhile day out and worth every penny. The bus arrived at the pre-designated spot at the arranged time to return us to our hotel - tired and elated by our experience
A top class coach and driver (Cisco) and interesting information on the way to Palma (Peter) then a sightseeing tour of Palma. After several hours in Palma we were picked up and returned to Pourto Pollensa ana dropped at our hotel door.Very good indeed!
Our No Frills excursion was from Alcudia old town to Palma, we were picked up at 0930 from our hotel. The first plus was Pete our guide, he was excellent, very knowledgable, and at times very funny. The trip to Palma took about 1 hour and our first stop was a fort overlooking the harbour! which had toilet facilities and a snack bar? From there we went to a large department store El Corte Eglise, where we had a free glass of beer and a tapas (paella). Then we had 3 Hours free time to shop or , as we did visit the cathedral, we arrived back at our hotel around 1830, after another informative trip with Pete. All of this for only 18 euros, which can,t be bad.All in all a very enjoyable day out, well done No Frills.
Did the Island tour and Palmabus. Enjoyed both excursions. The guides,Pete on Palma and Juan on the Island tour were excellent. Both had a great sense of humour and an in depth knowledge of the island which added to our enjoyment. Our driver Xisco for both trips was never rushed we felt completely safe at all times, which is not always the case with tour bus drivers.Great value for money and would highly recommend if you want to see a bit of the Island without the stress of finding your own way around in a hire car.
We were going to take the scheduled bus from Ca'n Picafort to Palma(majorca)until we found out that at 18 euros each the No Frills tour was only 4 euros each more. For the 18 euros you get an excellent tour guide who was very friendly and helpful,a tour of the tourist hot spots,a free glass of wine and a tapa and a 10% discount card for Corte Ingles. We had 5 hours free time in Palma and the whole day was well organised.Would have no hesitation in recommending you to book with No Frills.
Recently returned from Mallorca, stayed in a pretty poor hotel and needed to find some outside activities to enhance the holiday. Booked a coach excursion to Old town Palma with No Frills and were a bit dubious as to what we'd get. No need to worry, coach was on perfect time picking us and everyone else up and what can I say about our tour guide? Wonderful - Pete from Yorkshire!! Fantastic chap, full of so much history and informative chit chat alongside his wonderful dry sense of humour. He truly made the trip so interesting. From his history of the island (he must know more than most native Mallorcans!) to his witty dry jokes and comments, he made our day and without going along on this trip we'd never have discovered the fabulous Cala St Vincenc. Full of praise for him and if ever anyone goes on one of their trips and you get a choice of guides - he's your man !!
Took 3 trips (one simply being a return to Palma) which I were very impressed with! Firstly, a note on the service. On my first trip (Palma) I was meant to be picked up from Hotel Haiti (I was in Tonga) however Google Maps thinks that Haiti is a 10 minute walk in the opposite direction than to where it actually is! This meant we were a few minutes late and missed the bus. I contacted Toni straight away and was more than happy to oblige on putting me on the bus the next day - thank you! The trip to the Drach Caves was just fantastic - the amount of things you get to see and do is incredible for the cost, and the underground classical concert on Lake Martel was awesome and a great experience. This was just my partner and I. Beware - the liquor tasting at the end can make for a headache on the bus home - take water!!!! ;) Dory / Dora the guide was a great guide giving lots of island info. The third trip was ofr Rural Majorca to a couple of market towns, then on to an old farm house for a BBQ. We travelled with our family (including a 2.5yr old and a 87 yr old) and Michael, the guide, seemed to go out of his way to make sure we had the best possible time on our trip. Thank you Michael!!! You also cheered up the birthday boy with his bottle of wine! The wine tasting was excellent, and reasonably priced to buy! We had 4, thank god we go them into our hold luggage as I am drinking a glass now and tastes as good as I remember. NoFrills is definitely the best excursion company I've ever had the pleasure to book with.
My husband and i only managed to use this company once on a recent visit to Alcudia but would be very happy to recomend them . We went on the Palma day trip and found it informative and good value for money. Our tour guide ( gentleman from the UK ) was great fun and made the trip very enjoyable. As we were staying in Alcudia old town they picked us up in a smaller van and took us to the main coach where we joined the main party , very good service. Would definately use them again.
We booked online about a month before we went, and visited Palma, Caves of Drach and Porto Cristo, and Soller and Valldemossa with No Frills. We also booked horse riding with them. They picked us up at the time specified, the tour guides were very helpful, knowledgeable and funny! (Claudia, Juan and particularly Katalina). Cheaper than booking with hotel reps, and very good service.
