Once at the caves, the assistant will hand out the tickets and guide the group to the entrance. From this point, you will enjoy the official visit inside the Caves of Drach, which lasts approximately 80 minutes.
The first part of the visit consists of a guided walking route through the caves, where you will admire spectacular rock formations, impressive stalactites and stalagmites, and several underground lakes.
The highlight of the visit takes place at Lake Martel, one of the largest underground lakes in Europe. Here, you will take a seat in the natural amphitheatre and experience a unique light show, originally designed by engineer Carlos Buigas, which gradually illuminates the cave and reveals its full beauty.
This is followed by a live classical music concert, performed by musicians sailing across the lake in traditional wooden boats. The combination of music, lighting and the caves’ exceptional natural acoustics creates an unforgettable atmosphere that makes the Caves of Drach truly unique.
To complete the experience, you will then board one of the small boats to cross Lake Martel by rowing, allowing you to admire its crystal-clear waters and impressive scale from up close. After crossing the lake, you will walk towards the exit of the caves, with a short break available for restrooms or refreshments before returning to the coach.
Customer Reviews – Shuttle Bus to the Caves of Drach
A relaxed afternoon shuttle to the Caves of Drach with tickets included. Fewer crowds, direct transport and the full cave visit with concert and boat ride. Highly recommended.
We booked the afternoon shuttle to the Caves of Drach with NoFrills Excursions and were very happy with our choice. The organisation was excellent, with central meeting points and direct transport. Visiting in the afternoon meant fewer people and a more enjoyable visit. A very smart alternative to the standard morning tour.
We chose the Afternoon Shuttle Bus to the Caves of Drach and it was the best decision. The afternoon visit was much quieter and more relaxed compared to what we had heard about the morning tours. Pick-up from a central meeting point was quick, and the shuttle went straight to the caves, without unnecessary stops. Inside the Caves of Drach, everything felt less crowded, especially during the concert at Lake Martel, which made the whole experience even more magical. The light show, the classical music and the boat ride across the lake were truly unforgettable. If you want to visit the caves in a calmer atmosphere and without stress, the afternoon shuttle is definitely the way to go.
Good Tour. Visiting Manacor it is unnecessary, just a way to sell articles with pearls. Sineu market is similar to Alcudia market with more sellers. Porto Cristo is a plus, comparing to the half day tour, but more time should have been given to visit this point as it was just time for lunch there. The Caves of Drach is very beautiful.
This was our 3rd trip with you, we booked as it is very good value for money. The guides are informative and make the trip good fun. This trip to caves of drach was excellent, it was a packed itinerary and was most enjoyable.
