Once everybody is on board our coach we proceed inland towards the town of Manacor, the second largest town in Mallorca. On our way we will be passing small traditional villages, which are very different to the tourist resort, such as Santa Margalida. Throughout the journey our guide will share useful and interesting information about the tour's itinerary as well as giving you an insight into the local culture .
On arrival in Manacor there will be a 40 minutes visit to the Majorica pearl factory. There you will have the opportunity to see the rigourous pearl manufacturing process and learn about the history of one of Majorca's most emblematic companies. While there you will also be able to purchase goods at outlet prices. The perfect remembrance for you or your dearest ones from your holiday in Mallorca.
The visit to the Caves of Drach has a duration of approximately 80 minutes. You will follow the route through the caves, marvelling as each cavern gets bigger and more impressive as you progress. The highlight of your visit will be enjoying the classical music concert inside the Caves of Drach and crossing Lake Martel's spectacular waters in a small wooden boat. This boat ride is a unique experience in the world and is included in the price. Lake Martel is one of the largest subterranean lakes that exist. During the visit you will also witness a magical light show that recreates the sunrise.
On the East Coast area of Mallorca we will make a short photo stop at a defensive watchtower from the 16th century where you can take memorable photos and have fun learning about the pirates of Mallorca.
You will have time for lunch when we stop at the seaside fishing town of Porto Cristo (90 minutes). Here you have free time to explore, relax, eat and enjoy its beach. Lunch is not included but the guide will recommend nice places to eat and local points of interest. Also, if you wish to you can go for a refreshing swim in Porto Cristo's stunning turquoise waters or simply sunbathe on the beautiful sandy beach.
To round off such a great day, the final part of the tour includes a stop at a local liqueur establishment (30 minutes). There, free of charge, you will be treated to taste as many local liqueurs, with flavours that go from herbal to berries, as you wish. These include the popular local specialities of Hierbas and Palo which are a must when trying the liqueurs.
Exclusive to Nofrills Excursions: all the kids will receive a pearl as a gift from our company during the visist in Majorica pearls.
The excursion starts at approximately 09:15-09:45 and it ends at around 17:00-17:30.
The pick-up point and time is confirmed to you after you have made your booking. You will be picked up at your hotel or a nearby meeting point. Once you make the reservation you will receive two emails:
We bought tickets for the Formentor Boat Trip from Puerto Pollensa back in October 2017. We purchased the tickets through Mar from The Puerto Pollensa Office , she was very friendly and helpful and gave us lots of helpful information regarding other excursions. My fiancee has been using No Frills Excursions for just over 12 years and I can say they are great :)
My wife and I only had 1 week holiday in Alcudia and thus had to take the available day to book our "caves" tour, which coincided with the day of our 50th wedding anniversary. The weather was clear and hot (33C outdoors) and thankfully the bus was air conditioned. The guide Albert, and the driver Jose, made for a great day out. Albert produced an amusing commentary as we drove around, giving us a historical insight to the Balearic Islands and Mallorca in particular. We drove through the city of Manacor, dropped off fellow sightseers at the Rafa Nadal Academy, took photos at a beauty spot in Cala .Mendia. The caves visit was great and I took some super photos. The musical experience was enchanting with the stunning underground lake and the lighting effect. We drove on to see the Tower of the Falcons (another photo opportunity) and visited the Majorica pearl factory. Lunch at the Lu Bumba restaurant in Porto Christo was very good, and the manager/owner brought the two of us dessert on the house and announced to everyone that it was our 50th. En route back we collected the others from the Rafa Nadal Academy and stopped at a ceramic-and-liqueur shop to sample the range of liquid products made from bananas to berries. Altogether great value for money and most enjoyable.
A fantastic trip to the caves of Drach, our tour guide juan and driver pep ensured we had an enjoyable and comfortable trip. The caves were magnificent and the sailing musicians really were amazing, we were also treated to a trip to a pearl factory and a stop off for lunch at the lovely Porto Cristo , the return journey was also fun as we stopped off to sample some free shots at a local distillery, wonderful trip great value for money and would highly recommend it.
Excellent trip to The Caves of Drach Albert, the tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly with lots of fun thrown in. Well worth the money for the excursion. We are going to the Pirates show and on the Island Tour with No Frills

Albert is a perfect asset to your company. A big thank you No Frills orange bus. Will definately recomnend.
We were guided around by the lovely Catalina, who have plenty of interesting insights to the area. The tour felt like great value for money, seeing as we had 5 stops. The caves were beautiful and I've never seen anything like it. Really enjoyed tasting Mallorca's liqueurs as well!
Great day trip from start to finish! From the bus driver to the tour guide who were very friendly, spoke good English and were very informative! We made 5 stops on route to the caves and everything was planned so well ! There was so much involved from the Pearl factory to the trip to Menacor! We saw so much, well worth the money!
Booked trip through our hotel. Juan our tour guide and Fernando the driver were excellent. Juan's commentary on the bus was knowledgeable and fun. Caves of Drach are extrodinary and well worth a visit. Enjoyed the whole day which was broken up with stops at places of interest. We would definitely use this Company again.
My partner and I had a fantastic visit to the caves of drach! The caves themselves were beautiful and the highlight of the tour was watching a musical performance in one of the biggest caves. To end the visit we got a short boat across a river in the cave. Yes, the queues were big but if you are chilled out and prepared to wait a little this isn't an issue. If not you can just walk across a path next to the river. The bus gave you plenty of time in the caves so we were able to queue for the boat ride without too much of a time pressure. The tour guides Juan and Francisco were superb. Juan made what could have felt like a long journey really enjoyable with funny commentary and lots of interesting facts. There were also some other stops to the day, which were excellent. A pearl factory, although I wasn't interested in buying pearls there was a lovely terrace and cafe with beautiful views that we enjoyed. The alcohol tasting was excellent, giving you the chance to sample a really wide range of liquors with no limit- you could have got quite drunk if you'd tried!
