Caves of Drach and East Area overview:

Full itinerary of the tour:

Please bear in mind that there are two different itineraries depending on the day you choose to visit the Caves of Drach. Independently of the day you decide to take the trip the tour around the Caves of Drach themselves is always the same:

The visit has a duration of approximately 80 minutes. You will follow the route through the caves, marvelling as each cavern gets bigger and more impressive as you progress. The highlight of your visit will be enjoying the classical music concert inside the Caves of Drach and crossing Lake Martel's spectacular waters in a small wooden boat. This boat ride is a unique experience in the world and is included in the price. Lake Martel is one of the largest subterranean lakes that exist. During the visit you will also witness a magical light show that recreates the sunrise.

If you opt on taking part on a Monday you will visit the Caves of Drach and Porto Cristo:

Once everybody is on board our coach we proceed inland towards the town of Manacor, the second largest town in Mallorca. On our way we will be passing small traditional villages, which are very different to the tourist resort, such as Santa Margalida. Throughout the journey our guide will share useful and interesting information about the tour's itinerary as well as giving you an insight into the local culture .

On arrival in Manacor there will be a 40 minutes visit to the Majorica pearl factory. There you will have the opportunity to see the rigourous pearl manufacturing process and learn about the history of one of Majorca's most emblematic companies. While there you will also be able to purchase goods at outlet prices. The perfect remembrance for you or your dearest ones from your holiday in Mallorca.

The visit to the Caves of Drach will then take place as stated above.

On the East Coast area of Mallorca we will make a short photo stop at a defensive watchtower from the 16th century where you can take memorable photos and have fun learning about the pirates of Mallorca.

You will have time for lunch when we stop at the seaside fishing town of Porto Cristo (90 minutes). Here you have free time to explore, relax, eat and enjoy its beach. Lunch is not included but the guide will recommend nice places to eat and local points of interest. Also, if you wish to you can go for a refreshing swim in Porto Cristo's stunning turquoise waters or simply sunbathe on the beautiful sandy beach.

To round off such a great day, the final part of the tour includes a stop at a local liqueur establishment (30 minutes). There, free of charge, you will be treated to taste as many local liqueurs, with flavours that go from herbal to berries, as you wish. These include the popular local specialities of Hierbas and Palo which are a must when trying the liqueurs.

If you opt on taking part on a Wednesday you will visit the Caves of Drach and Sineu Market:

Once everybody is onboard we will make our way through the island's inland towards the picturesque village of Sineu. There we will be stopping for about 1 hour so that you can stroll around what is Mallorca's oldest market. There you will be able to see everything you can imagine being sold, from fruit and vegetables to live animals!

Then it will be time to head, again through inland roads to Manacor.

While we are on the East Coast area of Mallorca we will make a short photo stop at a defensive watchtower from the 16th century where you can take memorable photos and have fun learning about the pirates of Mallorca.

And then, to round off the trip, the highlight of the day, the visit to the Caves of Drach which takes place as stated above.

Really worth while tour! Had a lovely time, the guides were excellent and really looked after us! We have a young family comprising of a 1 year old and a 3 year old, the guides couldn’t have done more to ensure we enjoyed the trip! The caves were stunning, completely mesmerising for our 3 year old! We only booked, via tripadvisor, 12 hours before the trip was scheduled to depart, communication was excellent, ensuring we got to the bus stop at the correct time. Would highly recommend no frills!

My mum and I have just returned from an excursion to Drach Caves. This company planned the tour to perfection in a very professional fun and friendly way . Our driver was Samuel who was a very patient ,sensible and friendly driver. Our tour guide was Albert who was very professional and took every opportunity to tell us about the sights we were passing and what exactly we had planned for the day. So we all knew what to expect . There are no toilets on the bus and there was a very sweet young man who desperately needed to go to the loo! Albert arranged to make an unplanned stop. This demonstrated how flexible and family friendly this tour company is. Very impressed. Keep up the good work thumbs up

Yesterday we went on the day trip to Caves of Drach. We were picked up on time and met by our lovely guide Juan! Juan was absolutely amazing and made the whole trip for me. Literally did not stop laughing the whole way round. Stopped at some lovely little places for photo ops too. Brilliant itinary, the day passed very quickly. Particularly enjoyed the liqueur tasting in Manacor - so many lovely flavours. Would highly recommend no frills

A "Ronseal" trip - they did exactly what they said they would. Bus timings exact to the minute. Clear return times communicated including risks if late. Great driver (Pedro) and tour guide (Juan). Bus 162 on 02/05/18 Organised via hotel reception - took less than 3 minutes. Collected from reception. €42 each for trip to huge market at Sineu, pearl factory at Manacor, Lunch at Porto Cristo harbour and then the Caves at Drach plus extra tour time around the coast. Ticket to caves was €15.50 alone ! BRILLIANT - well done. Highly recommended

We bought tickets for the Formentor Boat Trip from Puerto Pollensa back in October 2017. We purchased the tickets through Mar from The Puerto Pollensa Office , she was very friendly and helpful and gave us lots of helpful information regarding other excursions. My fiancee has been using No Frills Excursions for just over 12 years and I can say they are great :)

My wife and I only had 1 week holiday in Alcudia and thus had to take the available day to book our "caves" tour, which coincided with the day of our 50th wedding anniversary. The weather was clear and hot (33C outdoors) and thankfully the bus was air conditioned. The guide Albert, and the driver Jose, made for a great day out. Albert produced an amusing commentary as we drove around, giving us a historical insight to the Balearic Islands and Mallorca in particular. We drove through the city of Manacor, dropped off fellow sightseers at the Rafa Nadal Academy, took photos at a beauty spot in Cala .Mendia. The caves visit was great and I took some super photos. The musical experience was enchanting with the stunning underground lake and the lighting effect. We drove on to see the Tower of the Falcons (another photo opportunity) and visited the Majorica pearl factory. Lunch at the Lu Bumba restaurant in Porto Christo was very good, and the manager/owner brought the two of us dessert on the house and announced to everyone that it was our 50th. En route back we collected the others from the Rafa Nadal Academy and stopped at a ceramic-and-liqueur shop to sample the range of liquid products made from bananas to berries. Altogether great value for money and most enjoyable.

The caves were magnificent and the sailing musicians really were amazing, we were also treated to a trip to a pearl factory and a stop off for lunch at the lovely Porto Cristo , the return journey was also fun as we stopped off to sample some free shots at a local distillery, wonderful trip great value for money and would highly recommend it.

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

We were guided around by the lovely Catalina, who have plenty of interesting insights to the area. The tour felt like great value for money, seeing as we had 5 stops. The caves were beautiful and I've never seen anything like it. Really enjoyed tasting Mallorca's liqueurs as well!

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

Great day trip from start to finish! From the bus driver to the tour guide who were very friendly, spoke good English and were very informative! We made 5 stops on route to the caves and everything was planned so well ! There was so much involved from the Pearl factory to the trip to Menacor! We saw so much, well worth the money!

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

Booked trip through our hotel. Juan our tour guide and Fernando the driver were excellent. Juan's commentary on the bus was knowledgeable and fun. Caves of Drach are extrodinary and well worth a visit. Enjoyed the whole day which was broken up with stops at places of interest. We would definitely use this Company again.

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

My partner and I had a fantastic visit to the caves of drach! The caves themselves were beautiful and the highlight of the tour was watching a musical performance in one of the biggest caves. To end the visit we got a short boat across a river in the cave. Yes, the queues were big but if you are chilled out and prepared to wait a little this isn't an issue. If not you can just walk across a path next to the river. The bus gave you plenty of time in the caves so we were able to queue for the boat ride without too much of a time pressure. The tour guides Juan and Francisco were superb. Juan made what could have felt like a long journey really enjoyable with funny commentary and lots of interesting facts. There were also some other stops to the day, which were excellent. A pearl factory, although I wasn't interested in buying pearls there was a lovely terrace and cafe with beautiful views that we enjoyed. The alcohol tasting was excellent, giving you the chance to sample a really wide range of liquors with no limit- you could have got quite drunk if you'd tried!

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

Had great trip to caves of drach, other nice stops on the journey.tour guide albert had great knowledge and was funny and very helpful, overall company was easy to find online or in canpicofort, price was good.oh and last stop was at a shop where you can taste liqueur's lots of them!! Mmmm.

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

I would highly recommend this trip to see the caves of Drach. We went as a family of four with two children aged 4 and 1. The timings of the day were perfect to see the caves and the extra activities such as the pearl factory shop, Porto Cristo, souvenir shop with free liquor tasting and watch tower were all great! Highlight is the underground lake and boat ride. The trip was made extra special by our fantastic guide Albert. His local knowledge, humour and professionalism went above and beyond our expectations. He also went the extra mile to endure we were reunited with our buggy which we had to leave at the entrance to the cave. He made the trip very relaxed and entertaining which can be hard with two little ones. Thank you very much!

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

Had a really nice trip with no frills our rep was Albert he was really good lot off info about Majorca the trip takes you to the caves as well as Porto cresto nice if you want a day out

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

An excellent trip. Our guide Juan was brilliant. He was funny and informative and really made the trip great. Driver Fernándo was also helpful and friendly. The stops en-route at Majorica Pearl Factory and the bodega in Manacor broke the journey up nicely and I got some bargain souvenirs. The caves are simply stunning as were the viewpoints and pretty coves that we were taken to. All in all a fabulous day out!

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

We have just returned from a visit with No Frills. We had an amazing time and were well looked after by Catalina and our driver Miguel. We had a few stops on the way there and the way back, a pearl factory, a liqueur tasting and lunch in Porto Cristo. The caves are truly amazing, you are not allowed to take photos using a flash but there are always some people that think the rules don't apply to them. When you get to the big lake at the end there is an amazing classical 'concert'. The experience is unbelievable and only slightly marred again by those who wanted to get their mobiles out. There is a chance to go on the boat, only for a short distance, but it is well worth the wait in the queue. I don't think any review could do this trip justice, but I would definately recommend using No Frills.

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

We went on this excursion as a birthday present form our daughter. It was beautiful. Our host was Esther and she was wonderful. She told us all about the history of Alcudia whilst we were traveling ther and having a local was brilliant as she was full of local information. Fascinating! We visited Caves of Drach which was amazing , a journey under the earth to be serenaded by classical music at the bottom. Wonderful! Then on tomPorto Cristo for lunch. Beautiful place and well worth a visit. We then visited the mallorcan pearlmfactorybwhich was lovely could have spent a small fortune! Last we visited a local pottery and liqueur factory. Tasted 20 liqueurs in 30 mins. Wow they were strong! All in all a fantastic day out that only cost €35 and was well worth it. Thanks Esther and we hope to see you again soon.

Fab trip, varied with 5 different stops during the day. The timings were perfect, the activities varied and Catalina our tour guide was amazing - funny, informative, quirky!! The time flew by and I don't usually enjoy organised excursions like this so it was a real surprise!!

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

Excellent- we had Juan and Fernando, superb, very lovely pair who really tried to connect with the guests on the bus, even down to the guide showing us snaps of his homegrown veg! Caves were stunning as was the show, but the wait for the boat was ridiculously long and not worth it when you realise how short the distance is! Lovely day, with nice stop for lunch near the beach. Also, the wine/liquer tasting was fun and really did help with the siesta on the way back to the hotel! Do this trip, its great.

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

We booked the caves of drach which was amazing but I must say that the island tour was absolutely the best, the views from the coach was stunning enough and then you had the boat, tram and train ride and also the stop off in solver. Worth every penny of the 62 euro, thank you too duncan, and the whole of the team, Albert and the driver whoI'm so sorry I can't remember his name. Wish I could give u more than the 5 stars

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

We booked the caves of Drach trip through our hotel It was around €40 euros each. We stopped off on the way at a pearl factory and a tower where we could take some good photos. The caves of Drach were amazing, I have never seen anything like it before! Then we went to Porto Christo for a lunch break which was a beautiful place. Finally on the way back we stopped at a liqueur factory where you could taste as many as you liked!! Our tour guide Cat made the day even more enjoyable as she was friendly, funny and very knowledgeable! We both were really pleased we did this trip and would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to see some of the island!

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

Booked via the Internet for a full day excursion to the Drach Caves and Porto Christo in Mallorca. I had previously thought with all the steps in the caves that I wouldn't be able to go with my 1 year old son. However after reading the no frills website I was sold by the fact that they allowed you to leave your buggy on the coach where it would be looked after. We booked two days in advance via their website which was a breeze to navigate. They emailed a confirmation and then a follow up email within a few hours confirming the coach pick up point and time. Our pick up point was right around the corner from our hotel - ideal. The day included the coach, driver (Pedro) and a tour guide (Juan). Pedro was so helpful getting our buggy on and off the coach for our little one and Juan was informative and funny throughout the day. Thanks to both for making our day most enjoyable. We also were taken to a Pearl factory and to a drinks outlet as stop off points to and from the main attraction. It was a full day experience and one I would most dominate,y recommend. Great value too.

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

Went with no frills excursion to caves of Drach and Porto cristo. The driver and Juan made the trip special, very well organised and Juan kept us in laughter with his humour. Would really recommend as it was all organised just needed to pay and turn up for collection, hassle free. Thank you for a fabulous day.

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

We booked the Cuevas drach day tour our bus driver Francisco was lovely, the guide katrina or Katie was amazing so knowledgeable engaging funny, a real asset to your company, the bus was comfortable and the day was very enjoyable, it was really good value for money. firstly we went a viewing point overlooking a beautifull beach then the pearl shop, after that more photos over-long the sea at an old War look out tower, then we went to the Caves, after that Porto cristo. Although lunch not include plenty of choices of places to eat. wouldn't hesitate to recommend to everyone and will be booking again when we next visit majorca Thank-you

Visiting an all inclusive resort we were not going to head out much but decided to do the Caves of Drach day trip with NoFrills. I can safely say that the service was brilliant. We were picked up on time from Playa de Muro, the bus was clean (although the windscreen looked like it lost a fight with a low hanging tree) air conditioned and comfortable. Our guide Cati was on hand throughout the tour giving us an insight into the island, its inhabitants, traditions and other bits of trivia as well as details of the places we were going to see. Stop 1, an hour drive from Playa de Muro (including a couple of other pick up points) was a pearl factory. Not my cup of tea but the other half liked it. Stop 2, a tower with lovely views over the harbour and island. Stop 3, the Caves of Drach. This was very busy (I'd imagine it would be even worse in high season) but we were allocated a time slot so no issues with waiting. The tour itself lasts around 90 minutes and includes a short concert and a boat trip. Stop 4, Porto Cristo, 90 minutes lunch break. We had lunch provided by the hotel so spent this time looking around and enjoying a beer. Stop 5, Liquor tasting. You can try 20 different liquors in various flavours and alcohol content. Then it was back to the hotel. A great day out. Well organised and friendly staff guarantees that I'll use NoFrills

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

I had an excelent time on the No Frills Caves of Drach Excursion. Our guide Joan and driver Xisco made sure we were well informed and entertained on the way, we stopped off at a couple amazing view points where we got the chance to take amazing fotos. The highlight was visiting the actual caves, which I did not expect to be so espectacular included a boat ride in the underground lake in the caves well and this was also included in the price. Thanks No Frills for the great staff, organization and a wonderfull experience.

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto
