This is the most complete half day tour to the Caves of Hams, with a two-part visit, which many tour operators do not include. Our half day excursion to the Caves of Hams has been especially thought out for those who simply don’t want to miss out on the opportunity of visiting the spectacular Porto Cristo Caves but have limited time on the island or would just rather spend the afternoon relaxing at the pool soaking up the sun.
Once we have everybody on board our air conditioned coach, we will make our way inland and drive through the beautiful countryside towards the East Coast, where the Caves of Hams are located and where you will discover one of Mallorca's most important attractions.
We do our visit inside the caves in two parts so that you can see the whole of what is on offer, including the latest spectacular lighting show inside the Blue Cave, with its spectacular new blue lighting using cutting edge led technology. Then you will visit the famous principal caves network, including: the Round Cave, set in a vast open area with a botanical garden, and the Classic Cave that gives the Caves of Hams their name, "Hams" referring to the peculiar hook-shaped formations of stalactites and stalagmites.
Although the Caves of Hams were only discovered in 1905, they say that they have existed for around 10 million years!
On this half day excursion you will have time to enjoy the Caves of Hams and still have time to look around the gift shop or have a bite to eat at the new burger bar just opened there. Then it will be time to get back on the coach to return to resort, giving you plenty of time to relax by the swimming pool or head to the beach to enjoy the rest of the day's sun rays.
Coves dels Hams reviews
We had a nice day. We got a lot information about the island. The caves are really beautiful. We enjoyed it very much!
In the Hams caves we have seen a short movie apart from visiting the caves. I found the dinopark good at first, but it is small. With young children it is good so they can run around free and they like it.
The cave is fantastic,we have visited with 4 adults and 4 children. Then we went to the Dinopark. Very cool park with lots of dinosaur models and other small activities for the kids. Lots of areas for great fun photos. The little show at the end was also a lot of fun and we all enjoyed it.
We visited with our two boys (2 and 6) who both had a great time. The staff was very friendly and the park was beautiful, a great way to spend a few hours and walk around to see some dinosaurs. They also had a lovely interactive area with various games, puzzles and the opportunity for children to excavate a fossil. Everything was very clean and well kept, and I didn't feel like the dinosaurs were tacky at all. We also visited Dino's Burger which was very good - good quality food and we were served very quickly. Overall I would highly recommend for any family with children when on the island.
Very well designed park with sound and moving dinosaurs. All dino's are build in real size. We went with our children, They really enjoyed it.
it was an excellent trip. A very fun experience with a little show that was well worth seeing. We had lunch in dino burger and it was great . The walk around the site was very well signposted and easy to use. We stopped halfway round to use the toilets and they were very clean and quiet. We got loads of pics and thoroughly enjoyed the trip.
We had a fun morning at dinosaur land, there are many dinosaurs to see with information about each dinosaur to read as you walk around. The park is well looked after and is sign posted so you don't miss any dinosaurs. Their is a fun live show on the hour and the staff involved made it super fun. As you walk through the dinosaurs there is a lovely interactive area for the children to build puzzles, play games and discover fossils in the sand.Combined with the Caves of hams you have a good few hours to have fun
Came here in September with our nearly 2 year old active (wild) toddler. We spent about 1 1/2 hours here with him. Best money we spent in Majorca for him. It's nearly all in the shade or under trees so not too hot. He could run around the whole place without falling or getting into trouble for going off the path as there are low ropes so toddlers can't go under. The Dinoburger was absolutely insane, one of the best burgers we have ever had. The live show was really fun for all ages of kids. Would definitely recommend for young kids, and to kill a couple of hours of the day!
The Cave is fantastic. The Dinopark isA a good experience and really educational too. Lots of information about dinosaurs and it was great to see the different sizes. Definitely somewhere to entertain children for a couple of hours.
Initially the history of the caves surprised us and overall it was a very beautiful experience in a great place. It was my first time on the island and I am thinking of visiting again.
