LA RESERVA PUIG DE GALATZÓ Natural Park has an area of 2.5 million square metres and is situated at the foot of the “Puig de Galatzó”; one of the most emblematic mountains of Mallorca. Its valley belong to one of the most enigmatic zones of the island with a large variety of plants. This variety is due to the abrupt landscape that rises from 200m above sea level to the 1026m of the mountain itself.
Apart from plants, LA RESERVA accommodates three brown bears, ostriches, emus, deer, wild donkeys, goats, peacocks, geese and a great variety of ducks in a landscape of caves and waterfalls.
The entire circuit through the park is about 3.5 km long. After a walk of approximately one hour and half on gently sloping terrain, passing by several waterfalls and seeing different animals, there is a large barbecue area and a kiosk-bar, where snacks and cold drinks can be bought. You can also bathe in the waterfalls or in the “Refreshing Mountain” swimming pool.
