The Campanet Caves are totally natural and are located in the hill of San Miguel (Sierra de Tramuntana, World Heritage). The Campanet Caves are especially known for their exuberant natural ornamentation and for being the least crowded caves on the island. For this reason, you will be able to enjoy the peace and the fascinating views offered by this place. The visit inside the caves is always organized in small groups.
You will follow the route through the caves, marvelling as you see amazing rock formations and stalactites and stalagmites with spectacular lighting creating a mysterious air. You will feel like you have been transported to another underground world, far removed from the bright sunshine you left outside.
The caves are open all year:
The visits take place in small groups and there could be a wait of up to 30 minutes.
The Campanet Caves are located in the Northwest of Mallorca, near Sa Pobla. At the bottom of this page you can see a map of the location of the caves. To get to the caves there are different options:

I really enjoyed my visit to the Campanet Caves, with the impressive panoramic views from the cafe. From the moment you enter the caves, the world changes and the eerie lighting and mysterious echoing make you feel like you are in a fantasy movie. The guided visit was very good and the staff friendly. They pointed out all kinds of "animals" and other shapes in the rocks - you have to have a bit of imagination for some. The tour was longer than I'd expected and I was surprised at how big the caves were. I enjoyed this visit just as much as the visit to the bigger, more commercial Caves of Drach.
Very surprised by these caves as wasn't expecting that much. Nice tour, great scenery, larger than expected. Nice people running it.
The steps and walkways are easy to navigate. You move through a few different caverns - it takes around 40 min. I would recommend anyone to visit these caves during your holidays to Mallorca. Great caves, lovely restaurant and nice gift shop.
