This is a full day tour on which you will discover some of the most beautiful spots of Mallorca, with free time in Valldemossa, Puerto Soller and Soller Old Town. Discover a different Mallorca with our official guide who will give you great information about the places you are visiting. And step back in time as you trundle through the orange groves and along the seafront on the Soller tram.
In the first place we visit Valldemossa, considered one of the most unspolit towns in Mallorca, where you will have about 90 minutes to explore. There are many things to do in Valldemossa:
- Walk its charming old streets
- Visit the Valldemossa Cartusian Monastery
- Follow the steps of the famous composer Chopin, visiting where he lived
- Taste the typical "coca de patatas", a sweet bun typical from Valldemossa
The next part of the Valldemossa and Soller tour is a picturesque coach ride to Soller, following a unique mountain route with coastal views, taking you through the beautiful villages and hamlets of Deia and Llucalcari, while your guide relates the stories of artists and famous people who have fallen in love with this part of Mallorca, such as Robert Graves, Michael Douglas and the Archduke Luis Salvador from Austria.
In Soller you will have about 90 minutes' free time to stroll around the town square with its modernist buildings, incredible church and pretty bars and cafes. We recommend you visit the exhibition of Picaso ceramics and Miro engravings inside the old Soller train station, take a refreshing natural orange juice made from oranges from the Soller Valley, stroll through charming narrow lanes or enjoy a nice lunch at the square, while enjoying of the special charm of this unique town.
Included in your tour of Valldemossa and Soller is a ride on Mallorca's only tram, built in 1913, which on a scenic 25-minute ride will take you to the Port of Soller. The best way to end our excursion is with a visit to Puerto de Soller. In the Port of Soller we enjoy a little time to take a walk through the fishing port watching the fishing boats, the typical “llauts” and approaching the Santa Catalina viewpoint from where you can contemplate some of the best views of this port.
Your coach will be waiting for you in Puerto de Soller and, after your visit, we will take you back to your resort.

Thoroughly enjoyed this trip. Our guide, Jeanne, and driver, Fernando, were both great. Valldemosa is beautiful and the scenery on the mountain roads is spectacular. Also loved Soller and Port de Soller. Well done Fernando on superb driving skills! The tram ride was great. Loved everyone waving at us. Great value trip.
Excellent tour, tour guide and driver. Vallemossa, Soller and Port Soller were the perfect tour. Following the mountain route to the west coast, the journey is scary at some points and the driver(James) was excellent throughout, The scenery was magnificent and Vallemossa was the first stop with its narrow streets, shops, cafes and a monastery and church thrown in for good measure. Then on to Soller where we had a break for sightseeing and lunch in one of the many cafes in the small town. Then a trip to Port Soller through the streets and countryside on one of the old electric trams. These have been going for around 100 years but are beautifully maintained and a must do. After a short break at Port Soller it was time to come back via a less scary route to the north. Excellent value for money and a great day out. Special thanks to Katelina for ensuring the whole trip ran smoothly and for all her commentary and facts throughout the trip. Also, special thanks to James, the driver, for getting us there and back safely in spite of the ‘Sunday’ drivers on the narrow, winding roads through the mountains and round the coast.
Very good tour. Catalonia very entertaining. Saw more of Mallorca than I ever done before. The coast roads were spectacular with all the twists and turns. The views were fantastic. Sabastian was a very careful driver. The tram ride was a real drop back in time as it shakes its way down to the coast. Great day but don’t book an early evening meal as we arrived back nearer 7 o’clock. It does depend on the number of hotel drop offs.
Beautiful excursion. We were picked up on time and traveled comfortably in a air conditioning bus. Our guide was funny very helpfull and informative. We enjoyed the time in Port Soller from where we took the old tram to the little town of Soller smelling the oranges and lemons. In Soller we had a nice stroll and very good orange ice cream. We get then to Valldemossa beautiful mountain village where time seems to be stopped. We enjoyed very much this excursion interesting and well organised with enough time on each of these wonderful villages. The trip is absolutely value for money.
That's a great experience and you see some amazing places. We discovered Mallorca´s west coast with this trip in one day. Pickup was on time and the driver very courteous and professional. We had a lot of fun with our guide who was very helpful. The drive to Port Soller give us the chance to discover this part of Mallorca known as the gold valley with it many oranges and lemons. The old tram to Soller a nice experience and the visit of Valldemossa was our prefered mountain village with its small streets and nice houses full decorated with flowers and plants. We would recommend this to anyone who want to see the mountains and best parts of Mallorca.
