Join us at Nofrills Excursions on our unique full day trip to the valley of Soller and Valldemossa. This trip will take us first to the spectacular Valley of Soller famous for its splendid orange and lemon groves as well as its quaint original tram ride which is included in the price. Visiting these areas will allow you to discover the island's most natural beauty, making you fall in love with the precious landscapes you will be witnessing through out the day.
We will arrive in Soller Valley at around 10:30. First we will visit the Port of Soller where you will have about one hour free time so that you can stroll around and explore this charming natural port.
At around 11:30 we will take the tram to go to the old village of Soller where you can take a pleasant walk to see the most important landmarks of the village such as the main square, Can Prunera Museum, Soller's modernist-style bank, the church of Soller and many more interesting places.
You will also have time to relax in Soller as you enjoy an orange juice or an orange ice cream both a must in this valley famous for its delicious oranges.
If you like art, you can also have a look at the Picasso Ceramic Museum. We will be staying in Soller for about 90 minutes and there will be enough time for lunch (not included). In the town of Soller you will find a wide range of cafes and restaurants where you can eat anything from typical Mallorcan dishes, a menu of the day or just a quick bite.
After Soller, we board the coach for a delightful sightseeing ride through the Sierra de Tramuntana mountain range which has been named world heritage site and is protected by UNESCO. We will pass the picturesque towns of Llucalcari and Deia. Have your camera ready because the day is not over yet, as our final stop is the pretty town of Valldemossa.
In Valldemossa you can stroll through the peaceful cobbled streets or relax and enjoy a coffee while you devour one of the local delicacies such as the 'coca de patatas' (small potato-based sponge cake) as at this time of the day we usually have the charming town to ourselves. You can join our guide for a relaxed walk around the streets or visit at your own pace the Carthusian Monastery and the famous composer Chopin's House (entrances are not included in the price).
We will be in Valldemossa for about an hour and half, and then our coach will take us back to resort.
We have created a thoughtful itinerary for you to make sure that you have the opportunity to visit these 3 stunning places in a day, combining tram and bus.
The excursion starts at 09:00 and ends at around 17:45.
The pick-up point and time are confirmed to you after you have made your booking. You will be picked up at your hotel or a nearby meeting point. Once you make the reservation you will receive two emails:
During our stay in Puerto Pollença, Majorca, we decided to book an excursion with No Frills Excursions, to The Sóller Valley and Valldemossa. We were keen to do this trip having researched all the beautiful places to visit on the island, but had initially been put off by the high prices being charged by some of the leading tour/holiday companies (e.g. €65 - €70). When we saw the price of €34 each being advertised by NF in our resort, we decided to book. What a good decision that turned out to be! A modern (air conditioned) coach arrived at our pick-up point, bang on time, and we were greeted by our tour guide Albert, and a charming driver, Chisco. Albert was Majorcan (born and raised in Palma), who actually now lived in Valldemossa. He spoke excellent English, and gave us a magnificent account of the history of Majorca, and some very informative additional details of the areas we were visiting. Chisco, apart from being an extremely competent coach driver (especially on the narrow and winding mountain roads), was a very happy character (who also spoke good English), with a wicked sense of humour. He also had a cheery greeting for everyone, and even helped some of the older members of the party on and off the bus. The tour began with a visit to Puerto de Sóller, where we had free time to look around this lovely Port. Albert also gave us the option of following him to a viewpoint above the town (this was great)! We were then given tickets (included in the price), for a delightful tram ride up to the famous old town of Sóller. Here we had more time to enjoy the place, and have lunch in the bustling town square restaurants. We then rejoined Chisco on the coach (n.b. this requires a 15-20 minute walk up narrow streets, some cobbled), and we continued our tour, via a spectacular mountain road (great views), to Valldemossa. All the time, Albert continued to provide an informative and humorous commentary about the area. We had a good 90 minutes to explore and enjoy the beautiful mountain town, and Albert was always available to answer any questions we had. Finally, we returned to our coach for the 1 hour journey back to Puerto Pollença, and a drop off at our hotels. All in all, we had a thoroughly enjoyable day, made all the better by our fantastic guide and coach driver. Don’t be put off by the name No Frills...these people know what they are doing, and are doing it in style!
We visited Port Soller, tram to Soller then went to Valldemosa. Beautiful scenery, perfectly organised and the best guide we have ever had. Albert was informative, helpful and very considerate of the less able in his group. Would I recommend this trip, absolutely but with a word of caution. From the meeting point in Soller to where the coach parks is a 20 min walk over cobbles and with a small incline. Some people in our group found this hard going, and if had been warmer if would have been worse. Overall excellent day, good value and a brilliant guide.
We went on the NF Excursion to Soller/Valldemosa on the 17th July and what a great day it was! Our host, Cataria, is wonderful and totally makes the day with her knowledge of Mallorca and her amusing anecdotes! We started out in the beautiful port of Soller and then enjoyed a ride on the tram to the town of Soller where we enjoyed Tapas in the Square. On to Valldemossa through the windy windy roads (hats off to Fransisco for his expert driving) with a visit to this beautiful historic town and a visit to the private rooms of Chopin and his mistress, George Sand enjoying some almond cake and ice cream at Cappuccino on the way. The NF Excursion was a highlight of our holiday and I have to say the day was made by the lovely Catarina! Worth every penny!
We had such a great day...Margarita was our guide and she was wonderful... Mallorca was a great excursion, and while there was a bit of confusion in the morning, we had an excellent time! Valldemosa was beautiful, and we saw original Picasso art in Soller. muchas gracias!
We decided to visit soller and valldemosa originally looking to book with TUI who wanted €68 each, then discovered no frills.....best move we ever made, €34 each, half the price, must admit we thought it may be an old bus, no guide and a bit hurried, but how wrong we were, the coach was beautiful new and clean and the guide Catalina was exceptional and full of local knowledge, the day trip I would highly recommend both places are lovely and well worth a look around, we were given great tips from Catalina on where to eat and drink and what to taste (she was spot on with her recommendations) if you don't like market's avoid the Saturday as it's market day in soller, we found the market was excellent and very busy, the goods on sale were fantastic and it was a lot nicer than any we have visited in the past. You will have no chance of getting lost on this trip as your guides make it very easy to find meeting points and times. The windy road up to Valldemosa is an experience, there is some beautiful scenery on the way, the town itself is very quaint and picturesque and there is a lovely museum and gardens to enjoy. All in all this is probably one of the best day trips we have been on so far, thoroughly enjoyable, especially the tram ride from port de soller to the old town.....the trip is a real memory maker and no frills are really top class and great value.
What a fun trip! Booked during our holiday at Puerto Pollensa with No Frills. We were picked up in the morning for our tour and loved every minute. Our guide Catalina and driver Rafael were superb. Catalina was attentive and enthusiastic, funny and engaging. Even the bendy-bendy roads were fun and for a nervous nauseous passenger like me that's saying something. We loved it. Thank you so much. Highly recommended.
We booked this as we didn’t hire a car and we enjoyed the tour with a well informed and engaging with good humour. The trip was an all day affair with good time to scout out each port of call. Especially enjoyable was the tram ride from Soller. Picking up again later for onward travel to Valdemosa. Good value and pleasant trip.
We booked a trip with no frills as it was forecast rain in Alcudia and wanted something to fill a day in that did not involve sitting around in bars. Booked online and had no problems, straightforward and no need to print tickets off, which was a bonus. Prices with no frills was so much cheaper compared to our reps. We were at the pick up point early and someone drove by and said the bus would be with us soon. Bus arrived and tour guide was friendly allocating seats to each party as they boarded. He was able to converse with both the English and the German tourists with ease, pointing out interesting landmarks on the way. Port of Sóller was lovely and quaint. The tram ride to Sóller was fab, despite the pouring rain we chose to stand on the balcony to get the better view. We did not see much of Sóller and the market due to the rain and deciding to have lunch instead. The coach ride in the mountains was an eye opener and the driver handled each situation with ease with his fantastic driving skills. I would recommend booking with no frills.

Driver Francisco is very nice.I definitely recommend this tour.
As my husband was going to be off cycling every day on our holiday I decided to look at day trips to book before leaving the UK. Toni was very helpful on the email answering all my silly questions and eventually One of the trips I booked was a day trip to Valldemosa & Soller with tram. The coach arrived on time and the guide was expecting me. Although I was travelling alone I was made to feel very welcome by all and we soon became a group of friends and not a coach of strangers. Our guide Katalina was very informative about Mallorca and the area we were visiting pointing out lots of points of interest on route. The whole day was fantastic with a good amount of time to spend in each place to explore. I am looking forward to going back to Mallorca to try some more trips. Thank you to all at No Frills
We are well use to staying in Puerto Pollensa but normally do our own thing. This year we decided to take the tour of Soller and Valldemosa. It was reasonably priced and seemed a good way to see this picturesque part of the island. It was an absolutely super day with Katalina, our guide, really making the day so much more enjoyable. I would not hesitate in recommending this tour to appreciate this beautiful part of the island. Thank you Katalina. Loved your orange umbrella !!
What a fantastic day. Thank you Juan and Fernando for making a memorable trip to Soller and Valldemossa. Juan your humour, knowledge and language skills are to be praised, Fernando what a driver those bends on the way to Valldemossa! Would definitely recommend this day out. Well done no frills, comfortable coach and excellent value for money.
I booked this tour online whilst in resort, which was slightly cheaper than booking it through the hotel. The coach was about 15 minutes late due to other hotel pickups but the hotel receptionist was able to confirm with the No Frills office via telephone that it was on its way, allaying my sense of panic that we'd missed it! Juan welcomed my 12-year-old daughter and I effusively and showed us to our seats. Throughout the day, Juan proved to be a humourous, informative and unflappable guide, telling us nuggets of information right from the off. He switched from German to English and back again with ease and was able to describe the sights in both languages whilst they were in view, not always easy to do. He was kind enough to ask after my daughter who was initially struggling to walk as she had hurt her foot the day before, a personal touch which was much appreciated. The tour itself was a detailed exploration of northern Majorca. The first stop, Port of Soller is a charming harbour town (so many yachts!) but we were only there for 30 minutes before taking the wooden tram to Soller. Do note that if you're not so nimble on your pins (but can still climb the steep tram steps), you may want to ask your guide to ensure that you can get a seat on the tram. Many of us were standing for the half-hour journey to Soller, which is a scenic trip through the countryside, into Soller past the church of Saint Bartholomew, terminating at the train station where there are two small art museums. Juan recommended an ice cream shop just off the main square, which we thoroughly enjoyed. On to Valldemossa, a pretty cobbled village, whilst taking in picturesque views of hillside olive trees, houses and sea views whilst our driver Jaume successfully negotiated the hairpin bends without any worries. In Valldemossa, many of our fellow travellers visited the monastery and attended a short piano concert but we were happy to sit in the sun at one of the many cafes and restaurants and shop for souvenirs at a bodega. Heading back to the hotels, Juan continued to inform us about what we could see. It was a thoroughly fabulous day out and I would recommend No Frills to anyone visiting Majorca.
Great value trip seeing three lovely area's of Port Soller , Soller town and Valldermossa. The tram ride in Soller was great as my kid loves trains he loved it. We had a great driver and tour guide no complaints.
Super company for tours of the island friendly helpful staff. this tour was really good taking in the wonderful mountain areas of the island. nice air conditioned coaches, a guide with great knowledge of the area and island. Would highly recommend.
Experienced the soller, valldemossa trip. Have been on this trip in the past but this trip topped the previous in every possible way. The trip was offered at a cheaper price than anywhere else in alcudia and could not be faulted. The driver (xisco) of the coach was exceptional at navigating the winding mountain roads and the tour guide juan was brilliant, he was able to relay information about the surrounding area in several languages perfectly. He was able to entertain the entire coach with his humor and personal stories about his home town. Would definitely recommend as there is so much to see and there is plenty of time to see it.
Once again me and my wife had an excursion with No Frills and again the whole experience was exceptional. This time we went on the day trip to Port Soller and Valdemosa. Port Soller was an absolute delight and the town of Soller is well worth a visit with the best Lemon sorbets in the. World!! Our guide was Juan and he was a delight l day numerous, massively informative and an all round good guy, he even gave us all an Almond from his farm which was a nice touch. This company massively undercut the Thomson's excursions and wipe the floor of them with their quality and if you book online you save extra money.
I went with my sister in May 2016; we were picked up from our hotel (the Grupotel Marítimo in Alcudia). The tour was fantastic. It wasn't an English only tour so you do have to wait while the guide goes through everything in all the other languages, but he does do this quickly, our guide was lovely, very friendly, informative and also had a great sense of humour and made us laugh. We also got our picture taken by our guide Jaun. Soller is really beautiful and we enjoyed the tram ride there. The village of Valldemosa was stunning. We were even given a little keepsake remember our time there with all the almond, orange, lemon and olive trees. Highly recommend this tour, we had a super day.
Four of us went on this excursion and it was brilliant. The first stop inPort de Soller had to be cut short as we'd been delayed, which was a shame, but was no ones fault. Then the tram upto the little town of Soller, we had plenty time to explore and have lunch, we were then taken up in the mountains to the beautiful Valle de Mossa with its breathtaking views. Although it was a full day we never felt rushed, this was down to our guide Juan, who kept us entertained with his gentle humour all day. I recommend this tour and No Frills value for money is exceptional. Fantastic, well done!
We visited valldemossa and Soller with this company. We had a great day and rode on the tram. The landscape is wonderful and the village setting in Soller is magnificent. We had a fab day, the coach was air conditioned and driver and hostess Cati were fun. The only negative is the fact we were not warned that after the tram ride you have to walk up fairly steep road and quite a distance back to the coach. As I have walking difficulties and several others were very elderly, this was a struggle. I do think the steepness and the amount of walking should be put on the promo leaflet. But a good day in all.
