This Mallorca sunrise tour to Formentor is a brand new tour that takes you specifically to the medieval watchtower of Albercutx to see the sunrise and some of the most spectacular views the island has to offer.
We operate this exclusive tour in small groups and travel by minibus to discover the incredible beauty of the Formentor peninsula.
We make an early morning pick-up to ensure we get to the viewpoint in plenty of time to see the amazing Mallorca sunrise. Leaving the resorts of the north area we ascend the gently winding road with the objective of the Talia de Albercutx. On arrival at the watchtower, we get the cameras ready and enjoy a breakfast of fresh pan au chocolat and coffee or tea while we wait for the special moment.
From the Talia de Albercutx, there are 360 degree panoramic views over the island of Mallorca as well as an amazing view of the old town and Puerto de Pollenca, and the island of Menorca. The sunrise from here is as good as it gets and can easily rival any other sunrise in any other part of the world. The photographs you take will be spectacular.
On the way back to the resort we will make a brief stop at the Viewpoint of Es Colomer to take photos.
Customer Reviews for the Sunrise Tour
We didn’t manage to see the sunrise however Pedro really made an effort to still show us the views. He was also so patient with crying children due to the cloud cover whilst driving up the mountain. Thanks to him it was successful!
Amazing spectacular
Absolutely stunning sunrise with panoramas of the whole of north Majorca. The best sunrise I've ever seen. Very well organised tour and Pedro was brilliant.
Wow breathtaking ....First thanks to no frills for till running this tour this morning. Only myself and the wife booked so it ended up a private tour. Our driver / guide arrived on time explained the tour. Only a short drive to the mountain top up very narrow roads not something I would like to drive on. It appeared a popular spot with a few locals there too We arrived when it was still slightly dark just before the sun was rising Views were stunning and we were treated to a great sunrise. You need to wrap up warm for the first stop as it was cold however we were offered blankets to keep warm but guessed it might be chilly and went prepared, also to get the best views you will need sensible footwear to walk up the rocks if you so wish but that not really necessary as you can see the coast and the sunrise from the end of the road where we parked just as well. After sunrise we went to see the lighthouse and saw it fairly close by. The road closed for repairs so you can't walk up to it. We also had coffee and croissant here. Last stop was a view point over looking puerto pollenca which looked stunning in the sun with blue skies really great trip. The Customer care and awareness was outstanding as we booked at short notice due to recent bad weather but took the chance, we did not really have the best footwear but the guide made sure we were safe on the paths offering a helping hand when required. Ideal trip for photographers plenty of time to take photos of the sunrise and the mountains highly recommended tour
