I would just like to say that my wife & I thoroughly enjoyed the excursion by boat, tram & train through Port Soller with an excellent performance from No Frills rep' Juan. His knowledge & humour absolutely made our day. Also Juan (dos) the driver kept us feeling safe with his unbelievable driving through the mountains. 5 stars......!!!

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

Hi , today my wife and I have just been on the above tour in Alcudia. I would like to mention what a great day it has been ,along with the scenery and modes of transportation, one of the best parts was our guide Alfred and driver Ernesto. Alfred was informative, funny and very helpful, along with the driving of Ernesto which he made to look easy on some quite tricky roads to say the least. Both of these people are a credit to your company and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with you again in the future and would recommend your company for any trips that friend or family may be taking.

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

What a fabulous day! Well worth the ticket price. Albert was really personable, funny and very knowledgeable. Francisco was the most careful driver... I'm not a very good passenger but I felt very relaxed and safe with him at the wheel. We would definitely recommend this trip. Four of us had a wonderful day and all said we'd do it again. Well done to all concerned.

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

I did this excursion on my first whole day and enjoyed it a lot. I loved the variety of transport used and the sights I saw, allowing for some amazing photo opportunities. The tour guide was lively, humorous and informative. A perfect first day excursion.

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

Wonderful tour including coach, boat, tram & train. Fantastic sightseeing at a leisurely pace. Driver Carlos drove the bends beautifully & Guide Dori was friendly, amusing and informative. We thought it might be exhausting with the various forms of transport but it was well paced, plenty of stops and a great day out.

We had the choice of a large tour company or No Frills Excursions for the island tour. We chose No Frills Excursions as it sounded more appealing and we were not disappointed. We were staying in Can Picafort so we visited their office on the main street and made the booking. The smart bus turned up at the stated time and we had allocated seats. Very interesting scenery and at times humourous as the guide Albert was quite a character. Bus, boat, tram and train. Would use them again.

I’ve delayed writing this review because there are so many positive things to say and it would take pages. So many things have already been written so here’s a synopsis. Let’s start with the stars of this amazing tour. Albert our guide and Xisco our driver. Albert is charming friendly and extremely knowledgeable, as well as having us all in fits of laughter most of the time. Xisco, charming calm, cool and collected, I’ll tell you why that is so important later. The trip takes you up into the mountains via a very narrow road infested by cyclists and and a gaggle of land skiers making driving very tricky. The road to Sa Calobra reminds you of a scene from “The Italian Job” only more so . I certainly wouldn’t want to drive this, but Xisco with his huge coach managed it so professionally. The scenery is stunning and all the while Albert explaining the history and wild life with such expertise. Usually on coach tours you are taken for a stop off place for refreshment to a rip off joint. Not so here. The little cafe was very good value but sadly and not surprisingly in the cloud line so you could see nothing on this occasion. The boat trip. Very interesting but without Albert there was no commentary (the only downside) The tram and train with Albert again was fascinating. This whole tour is a must do! I wish “No Frills Excursions” all the very best for the future and really hope that one day there will be a “ No Frills Excursions” Airline, they’re so good that may be possible. At the end of the tour I thanked Xisco in Spanish for his excellent driving and in Spanish told Albert he was rubbish! To laughter all round. Full marks No Frills Excursions

My wife and I booked the Island Tour (with bus, boat, tram and train) for September 26th! The bus pick-up point was a two minute walk from our hotel! Our guide was Albert who was very knowledgeable and entertaining about our excursion! I rented a car thinking we would tour the mountains in it, however, I am glad we took this excursion!! Our driver was very skilled as he maneuvered around the hairpin turns (this in a huge bus) with traffic coming towards us! Albert impressed us greatly with his enthusiasm and knowledge of the history of Majorca! All parts of the transportation were very enjoyable! I am very glad we found nofrills excursions on the internet! I would definitely recommend them for any excursions on Majorca!

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

Excellent trip value for money great driver we felt very safe and the guide was very helpful and informative would book again

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

I have done this trip twice now and would recommend it. It's a great day out and you get to see different places with an fantastic guide.

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

We had a great day with tour guide Juan (and driver also Juan). He was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. The trip covered a coach journey through some lovely scenery and hairy bends.A short boat trip to Peurto Soller, then a wooden tram to the town and an ancient train through the mountains to pick up the coach for the return journey.Really enjoyable and great value. We followed this with a trip to the caves of drach a couple of days later. Once again a great tour guide and another enjoyable outing.

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

Have done this review based on the island tour, but we also did a further 2 trips through no frills. Island tour was amazing, ran completely to schedule, our guide Esta was very friendly and funny. The guides with the other groups also seemed extremely nice. The tour itself was well worth it, although the train isn't as amazing as people make out. The mountain part is definitely the best part of the day. Also a quick mention to Kathy who works at the no frills shop in Alcudia. She was very friendly and helpful. Would 100% recommend using no frills for any trip you may wish to do.

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

We had an awesome experience on this tour. The roads that they take you up are roads I would never feel comfortable driving on my own. So we got to see amazing views we couldn’t see otherwise. The guide is well versed in multiple languages and caters to all guests. We would definitely go again.

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

Excellent tour with Alberto as guide. The coach came on time and took us on some unbelievable roads up and down the mountains. All the stops were about the right length for a break between journeys. No great rush .. but you do need to be punctual. The boat, tram and train run to a timetable. All in all, we had a great time and would recommend to anyone who wants an easy way to see parts of the island that might be otherwise too difficult to reach.

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

A really enjoyable day , lots to do, and fantastic sights, we went by coach, boat, Tran and old fashioned train, had time to look around porta soller and have lunch, time for a delicious ice cream in stroller before a trip on the one hundred year old train, our no frills guild Albert was fantastic, knowledgeable and funny. I would always try and book my trips with no frills in future..

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

Went with wife and 2 kids, brilliant day, the coach into the mountains is breathtaking with time to stop off for coffee and pictures. When you go to the port to wait for the boat take a right turn through two small tunnels to find a beautiful secluded beach. Nice meal at Port de Sóller and then a tram to Sóller. You have just the right amount of time at each of these places to get a reel feel for them and the island as a whole. Finished off with an old wooden train ride back to our awaiting coach. Driver and guide were informative and amusing throughout the whole day.

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

This was a really jam packed day out, worth every penny. What's more is we had a brilliant tour guide Pedro, who gave us so much information and history on the amazing sights we saw. The trip to the mountains was a wow factor in itself, all those bendy roads all the way to the top and back down again, quite thrilling. All credit to the driver for getting us up and down safely, not to mention through the narrow gap on the way down, which made us hold our breath for a few moments. You get beautiful views of the valley down below as well as the sea in the distance, I was amazed with the shades of green and blue, truly amazing. I believe we were some 660 metres above sea level if I listened correctly. Then it was time to get a boat ride to Port Soller, which was absolutely stunning, such a picturesque place. The lighthouses and towers on the mountains did not disappoint, as well as the caves we passed. The best views were definitely from the top deck of the boat. Port Soller was a great stop for lunch before we got a tram ride to the train station which took us back to our waiting coach before it was back to the hotel. If I could choose this would be the place where we'd have more free time as there was so much to see. We saw so much of the Island and learnt so much through Pedro, who was very knowledgeable and spoke in languages to cater for everyone. The different modes of transport is a perfect touch to this brilliant, highly recommended tour. Thank you Pedro for a great day out.

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

Albert our tour guide was fantasic! So lovely and welcoming and he made the trip so enjoyable! Would definitely recommend and we are hoping our next 2 excursions we have booked through No Frills are the same!

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

Went on an Island Tour with 2 kids (age 7 and 16) in April. Absolutely loved it (both kids loved it too). Everything was very well organised. Sufficient time to wander around during stop offs and good recommendations on what to do during free time (tour guide Juan was very helpful). There wasn’t too much walking, however you could do so in your own time if you wanted. Very pleased we went on this tour and would definitely highly recommend it, worth every penny.

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

Fantastic jam packed trip, worth every penny, a great way to see the island! English speaking tour guide couldn’t have been more helpful. Would highly recommend

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

We were looking for an interesting family experience in Mallorca. We were not disappointed by this day trip from downtown Palma to Soller. The vintage railway coach took us through the mountains including several tunnels. We had one stop to overlook the village of Soller from above. Once we got to town, our pass also included a tram down to the port where there are plenty of restaurants, bars and shops...all along the ocean. Back in Soller, there were plenty of neat shops, outside cafes, museums, olive oil stores, churches and crafts...even shoe factory and gelato shops. The orange and lemon orchards were breathtaking. We had four kids with us ranging from 7-12 years old and they had a blast too. Well worth the trip!

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

Booked a island tour with no frills in Alcudia late April. Juan was our tour guide and what an organised man who went that extra mile to make the tour special for his guests. We were driven around the spectacular mountains north of Alcudia..awesome views . We were amazed how our driver got a 56 seater coach down the hairpin bends descending the mountains..never a moments worry true professional. After a short stay we were embarked onto a large boat and sailed for about 50 minutes to another great stop where we had plenty of time to explore and eat lunch. Then a vintage tram ride which was superb to another stop to explore a true Spanish town. Last leg was a vintage wooden train to meet our original coach which dropped us off at our hotel. Absolute value for money, very professional tour guide and brainer if your in the area its a must do trip.

Today in Mallorca we went on the island tour with No Frills. What can I say, at first we were hesitant to go. It cost us 65 euro each. Approx £55. And money well spent, worth every penny and we are amazed the company still make money on it. Well executed, everything runs like clockwork. Best Coach driver in the world Hymer, (those with the same guide will know) got us up into the mountains and back down to our waiting boat, along with the best tour guide in the world Juan. Both of them keeping us moving, and on time for all trips. The 40 minute boat trip was a highlight for us. First time I’d been on a boat as an adult so didn’t know what to expect but it was brilliant, me and my wife thoroughly enjoyed it. Followed by lunch as recommended by Juan we followed him to the restaurant he recommended, and were not disappointed, a fresh, good sized pizza, with wine, beer and an ice cream. All for just £13 euro each. And still had free time to spend on port de soller after. Onto the tram and train ride. Such an experience, would thoroughly recommend all aspects of the excursion to everyone. Hats off to all involved. We will not hesitate to use No Frills in the future! Thank you to Juan & Hymer, (best guide and driver in the world) and thanks to the team at No Frills.

This excursion has been AMAZING! Not only for the gorgeous scenery I enjoyed; Sierra de Tramuntana is stunning!! And the hairpin turns on the road looked so easy with the skilled driver Xisco. The main first stop was in Sa Calobra that is just breath taking, from there we walked through a gorgeous path to Torrent the Pareis (one of the most famous beaches in Mallorca) and this was only the very beginning of the tour!!! then we took a boat to Puerto de Soller and from there the ancient Soller's tram in the marvelous town. Our guide Juan was so knowledgeable and entertaining, he was capable of teaching us Mallorcan history and make us laugh at the same time. I honestly had the time of my life. I strongly recommend to take this tour. Mallorca is gorgeous, but with a good tour becomes Paradise!

The second Island Tour I have been on & as usual a good day ! Helpful staff at the booking office, the tour guide Albert gave us plenty of information about the tour & island also there was a light hearted side that made it all very enjoyable, only this time the camera at front of the bus was not on showing Xisco’s skill getting around the hairpin bends !

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

We have just come home from Alcudia,we went on this Island tour. We had the best say ever. Thankyou Cesco the driver & Albert the tour guide. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. We loved the drive through the mountain's,then the boat ride to Soller, then a wonder around the lovely town, then a great Tram ride, also the Train ride. We found it excellent value for money. It say's no frills, but it was so informative,& we had a good laugh throughout the day. Keep up the great work,& and take over the Island, lol. .

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

Thanks for a great day! Our guide was Dori and she made sure the day went like clockwork whilst still being attentive to all her “family”. You get to see some of the real gems of the island with the road down to Sa Colabra being the highlight. Respect to Fransico our driver who handled the switchback mountain roads with skill making it look effortless. The boat ride to Port Soller is stunning and the Tram and Train ride that complete the journey is like taking a trip back in time! Then safely delivered back to our hotel, weary but satisfied. Cannot recommend this day trip enough if you want to get out of your hotel and see something of the rural Majorca.

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

Absolutely brilliant from beginning to end. The drive through the mountains was hair raising in parts and the scenery stunning. Cisco the coach driver made it look easy! The boat trip was lovely. Puerto Soller was a great stop for a stroll and lunch. Very pretty with lots of shops and restaurants. We then had the tram ride to Soller followed by the train ride. We thoroughly enjoyed our day. Albert, the guide, was so informative and always interesting. He told us so much about Majorca that we would never have known otherwise and had a brilliant sense of humour. The tour was very professionally led. He is a credit to the company.Cannot speak highly enough of the tour or Albert. Would highly recommend

  • puntopuntopuntopuntopunto

We were picked up by coach from our hotel, which was just outside Puerto Pollensa. Our guide, Albert, welcomed us and asked us to take seats that he specified. I asked if we could move due to lack of legroom, and although this clearly messed up the seating plan, to his credit Albert agreed to the request and from then on did his best to make us feel welcome on the trip. Our driver, Rafa, had a considerable job on his hands in negotiating what must be some of the hairiest mountain roads in Europe. The best compliment I can give him is that he made it look and feel easy, and we felt safe - top marks. Albert is both passionate and extremely knowledgeable about his subject, and it was a huge bonus to learn so much about the history of Majorca as well as seeing a good part of this glorious country. The drive through the mountains, which includes a stop at a beauty spot, is truly awe-inspiring. The boat trip is relaxing and comfortable, the views are spectacular and the beers are cold. You get an hour so to mooch around Port de Soller and have a bite to eat before meeting up for the ride on the tram to the train station. This requires fortitude as it's crowded and extremely hot, but it's not that long before you arrive at the station, where you can buy an ice cream to cool yourself off before having a stroll round Soller. The train then wends its way through attractive suburbs and on through glorious countryside to a stop just outside Palma, where you pick up the bus back to your hotel. There's nothing not to love about this trip. Thank you, Albert, Rafa and No Frills for guiding us through such a memorable day in this beautiful country.
