On this 4-hour bike tour your enthusiastic, English-speaking tour guide will take you to discover a totally different Alcudia, compared with the tourist resort. Many people don't realise what a pleasure it is to cycle along rustic, country lanes in the sunshine. Our route will follow the backroads, away from heavy traffic for your safety and enjoyment.
We will cycle from our meeting point in the Port of Alcudia to the Old Town, which is less than 15 minutes away. On the outskirts of the old town we will make a stop at a rustic farmhouse dedicated to local agriculture. You will be served a refreshing glass of fresh orange juice and your guide will explain to you the work they do at this rustic estate that feels a million miles away from the bustling tourist centre you've just left.
Once back on the bike, we will pedal out of town and join the coast to cross onto the Bay of Pollensa. We will immediate leave the main road and enter the wetland of the Albufereta, just at the entrance to the Bay of Pollensa. The Albufereta is a natural protected area and is a haven for birds and wildlife. You will marvel at the peace and quiet here and you'll be able to climb up on the viewing platforms where you'll see the whole area of marshes and a gorgeous view of Pollensa Bay.
Then we'll meander along the country lanes, enjoying the views of the countryside and the seaside. We'll make our way to one of Alcudia's few bodegas: Can Vidalet, located in a stunning part of the countryside, where the picturesque views are postcard perfect. You'll be able to learn a little about the production of the wines made here and will see first hand where the grapes are grown. You'll have the opportunity to taste and buy wine too, if you wish.
From here we will make our way back to our starting point, at a comfortable pace, without rushing.
