After the success and popularity of our Rural Mallorca excursion from 2009 and by popular demand, we have decided to offer our clients the opportunity to see more of the rural side of the island with our brand new Rural Mallorca with rustic lunch, "Route 2".Discover the real Mallorca with this trip from your resort to the village of Santa Margalida where we will visit the tiny local market and clients will help our guide to select fruit and vegetables for the lunch later.
We will continue to Sineu, enjoying our guides' knowledgable information on the way. In the beautiful and local town of Sineu we visit a traditional Mallorcan wine cellar so that clients can see how the wine (one of Mallorca's biggest products) is stored in huge barrels. Our guide will also purchase some wine for us all to have later with lunch. You will have a little free time in this charming town to have a look around yourself. When we leave Sineu we will take country roads, avoiding the motorway, so that clients can see the beautiful Mallorcan countryside on the way to our lunch destination, which is our No Frills Finca (rural house) getting there around 13:20 where our chef will have ready a glass of wine to welcome you. Then, we will start to prepare the lunch:- First we will show you how to do a pa amb oli, one of the most famous dishes in our gastronomy. It is very easy to prepare and we will do it with the ingredients bought during the day.your help to prepare a "trampo" which is a mallorcan salad. We will cut some onions, tomatoes and green pepper
- Once the "trampo" is ready, our chef will have the BBQ done: a piece of chicken and a piece of pork meat.
- The dessert will be fresh fruit bought at the local markets during the excursion. Please not we always select local fruits!
During lunch drinks are included: you can drink as much water and wine as you want, so you will probably be very very happy at the end of the excursion!
