  Lovely day .Mallorca away from the coast.Our host Michael was exceptional.Entertaining us the whole day and full of interesting knowledge of this beautiful island.Really relaxing trip ,good to see the villages ,visit a bodega where of course we had to taste the wines and then finishing in the mountains for a lovely barbecue and more wine .All the time being looked after by our lovely host

  What a day! We were looking for something different to do and Kathy in the no frills shop near the Siesta apartments suggested that we tried this excursion. It is the first time we have travelled without the children so we didn't want to do the usual waterparks outings. The guide Michael was a fantastic host from start to end. We had high expectations for the day and we couldn't have been happier. Lovely food, great atmosphere and plenty of interesting information. We highly recommend No Frills and especially this tour!

  This is our 2nd time on this trip as we enjoyed the last one so much and we were not disappointed ! Once again we were hosted by the lovely Michael who makes the trip so enjoyable and as an Englishman he is so full of information and knowledge about the island ! This time we went to the lovely Rural village of Sa Pobla where we went to the market and purchased the food for our meal and spent some time amongst the locals which gave us a real insight into Traditional Mallorcan culture and how relaxed these people were compared to the busy holiday towns ! We then went to a Bodega in Binesaleem where we sampled the wines which were made there and then on to the site of an old traditional country house which is open to viewing although it is not lived in at present but the views were stunning and it was here we made our lunch with the ingredients purchased at the market and drank wine which Michael purchased at the bodega ! A lovely lady Maria who owns the house made us Coco a traditional pizza type bread dressed with different Spanish toppings which we had with salad and home baked bread ! The craic was good as we drank the wine and ate the food and I must say it was the highlight of my Holiday ! So Thanx again Michael and No Frills for such an enjoyable day !   Absolutely brilliant. Great scenery, lovely stops in villages to see the market and churches. Great lunch with plenty to eat. It was great to see a different side to the island. Would really recommend this trip.

  Amazing rustic tour .Michael out tour guide was fantastic , so funny and knowledgeable we had a fantastic day wine tasting and eating the local food

  Went on the inaugural excursion (new itinerary) in May 2018 with my wife and we had a wonderful day out. Michael was absolutely brilliant as our guide, very informant and made everyone welcomed. The first stop at St Antoni museum (with a glass of bubbly and guided by the towns Mayor was a nice touch) was very interesting about Mallorcan customs and festivities. On to the bodega for wine tasting (plenty to sample) was a nice experience and well delivered by the owner. Then on to a rural cafeteria for lunch. Because it was a slightly rainy day we did not get to try cooking the food outside, but this did not spoil the lunch as the chef brought it all in for us to eat. Plenty of aperitifs to sample and plenty of wine on the table, and lots of salad and meats. A good end to the trip.

  Whilst travelling with my sister and her partner I really wanted to give this a go. Michael the guide is lovely, lively and well informed. He is funny and makes you feel more than at home. Fernando the driver was excellent and I could practically sleep there or back I was so relaxed! I was suffering from wisdom tooth pain and was given enough time mid tour to stop at the pharmacy and pick up some more tablets. Some of the other tourists waited for me! Everyone is of an older generation (different to me in my 20’s) but all very happy and up for a laugh and all looking after each other and me, nothing was too much hassle! Joan bbq’d us some lovely food and we all sat in the sun (umbrella’s available) and helped cut up some food for the lunch. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it! Suitable for all levels of physical ability (with ability to mount the coach)

  'No Frills' have re-rejuvenated the tour business in Mallorca, we have taken a number of their tours in the last few years and have never been disappointed Our favourite tour of all is the 'Rural Mallorca' tour with Michael which we have now done 4 times, the last one on 28th August! The island away from the tourist spots is particularly beautiful and Michael provides the perfect level of commentary in an informative and knowledgeable manner. The venues are well selected and the bodega of Can Novell delivers an interesting insight into island wine making -complete with samples. The tour culminates with a tasty bar-b-cue at dis-used finca that has been left how it was when vacated some years ago and well worth a visit. The wine flows freely as one sits in the shade of the trees as Joan cooks the pork and chicken to go with the local salad prepared by Michael and his volunteers. The conversation level increases as the wine level reduces and a fabulous time is had by all. Our coach was brand new and very ably handled by Sophia our excellent driver who manoeuvred the vehicle brilliantly in tiny village roads that are better suited to a Fiat 500. We have never failed to make new friends on this trip, especially in the 'Scottish corner'! The wine and bonhomie often promotes a snooze on the return trip as Michael tries to instil more knowledge into our befuddled brains. In short a great day out, highly recommended and we will be booking again next year.
