This excursion to Valldemossa takes you first to the heart of the island to an olive oil mill where you will be shown the equipment used to produce the olive oil, and you will learn why the olive oil industry in Mallorca has been so important throughout its history. Then you will have the possibility to taste different olive oils.
Next, we will visit the village of Valldemosa. This is a delightful village, once briefly home to Frederic Chopin. A guided walk is included which takes you to the hidden corners of the village, and then you will understand why Valldemossa is considered to be one of the most beautiful villages of Mallorca.
After free time, the excursion continues with a sightseeing tour to the west side of the mountains, where a photo stop is included to show you a breathtaking view. The whole area is favoured by artists because of its dramatic scenery.
The journey home is via Deia and the beautiful valley of Soller.
Customer reviews for Valldemosa and olive oil mill
Lovely day out with Catalina and Tony the driver, super scenery and fantastic information from Catalina as we toured the countryside. The olive mill was very interesting and Valldemosa was gorgeous.
I recently went on 2 tours with your company - Valldemossa and Caves of the dragon - whilst on holiday in Puerto Pollens and I wanted to say how much I enjoyed them. The drivers were extremely careful and polite, coaches very comfortable and the guides were friendly and gave plenty of information throughout the tours. They were always happy, smiling people and nothing was any trouble for them. I thought we may have some short cuts, or things missed out, bearing in mind the name of your campany, but both tours added to my holiday experience. Thank you for that.
We would like to say what a wonderful trip we had to Valldemossa and the olive mill. Our guide was Catarina. She was very knowledgable, witty and funny. she made the trip much more interesting and got all the coach involved, even though we we all different nationalities. We will certainly recommend your trips to are family and friends especially if Catarina is the guide. she is certainly a good asset to your company. Once again thank you for a very enjoyable trip. This was another fabulous day. Although very hot the coach was very comfortable and cool, the guide very knowledgeable and very helpful. Valldemossa is beautiful and well worth the visit. Not too sure about the olive oil mill which would have been better if things were working - but it wasn't the correct season. However, we didn't spend too long there and were able to get a drink. Again a very good trip and well worth the money.
This was a surprisingly nice day out, I say that because my husband thought an olive mill visit would be boring, but it wasn't, it was very informative. The guide, Magdalena and Raimondo on his maiden voyage (gulp!) made the day one full of gorgeous views, lots of culture, interest and smiles - and Magdelena even pointed out Pearce Brosnan's house, although he disappointed us by not being outside trimming his shrubbery! A very nice day out, don't miss Valdemossa if you go to Mallorca, its a beautiful little town.
