Recall that this is just a list, and how all lists each have their own, because “for tastes colors.” For us, a restaurant that should be there, without a doubt, is Dins de Santi Taura, where it offers traditional recipes with its particular style.

His philosophy is summarized in this phrase on his website “To be universal, you have to be local.” The chef Fernando Pérez Arellano practices a kitchen with a clear influence of the local product that together with his magnificent technique gives rise to a tasting menu that does not leave you indifferent with dishes such as Majorica oyster, the brunette with crunchy skin, the all i pebre … All this complemented by an excellent wine offer conceived by sommelier Sebastian Longo.

The Michelin Guide

The Michelin Guide Logo

The Michelin guide is a tourist guide that is published annually with great importance in the world of gastronomy, since it assigns Michelin stars (from one to three) to restaurants that stand out for their quality, creativity and cuisine.

  • Three stars indicate an exceptional cuisine that justifies the trip itself.
  • Two stars point to first class quality in their type of cuisine.
  • A star designates a very good restaurant in its category.

Having one or more Michelin stars means that a restaurant is not only one of the best in the country, but also one of the best in the world. Currently about 2000 restaurants in all countries covered by the guide have stars.

There are a few restaurants that manage to get a Michelin star. They must be maintained year after year. Like any guide, its recommendations are just that, recommendations, which one may or may not share, but which enjoy great relevance and promotion.
